U.S.News & World Report America's Best Colleges 2008 ranked Claflin University #10 in the Top Tier for the 10th consecutive year among Baccalaureate Colleges in the South and also ranked the University #3 for Highest Graduation Rate in the South.
In the first ever U.S.News & World Report America's Best Black Colleges, Claflin University ranked #7 out of the 81 HBCUs rated by the journal.
Consumers Digest ranked Claflin #3 nationally for “Best Value Among Top Private Colleges and Universities".
The Chronicle of Higher Education ranked Claflin #2 for its retention rate among "Very Selective HBCUs" as did The Journal of Blacks in Higher Education.
