We want to know what was the absolute worst gift that you have ever gotten for Christmas. Tell us about the gift that made you say ... "What tha? Are you serious?" ... you know, the gift you probably threw/gave away the next day or stored permanently in the closet or attic ... never to be seen again.
So to sum up, tell us the worst gift you ever got and share your grief with everyone else. Get it off your chest; don't hold it in anymore.
This should be fun to read.
The worst gift I ever got was a pair of knitted "sock/slipper-like" thingys when I was a kid from one of my relatives. I mean, there were definite holes in them because they were knitted like a fish net; big knitted holes. Then they were like slippers that ALMOST went up to my ankles. So I don't know what to call them.
I wore them that 1 day to be nice ... running around with my toes sticking out the holes like I was wearing a foot glove with the toes part cut off. It was blue too. At least it was in my favorite color.
lol For the most part I received pretty good gifts. I don't remember the bad ones, few and far between.
...and quit leaving "Christ" out of Christmas.
xmas?
You must be one of those commercialized heathens, no wonder you get bad gifts. Your story reminds me of Ralphie in "Christmas Story" when he got pink rabbit pajamas from his aunt!
Worst gift...wow. That's a toughie.
I think the worst has to be a tin of Dutch cookies because this is what I receive every SINGLE year from my aunts in East-Jesus-Nowhere, New Jersey. I almost look forward to 'em now, because they make great kitty treats for my cat.
Up to when I was about ten I always used to think that Santa thought I was so damn naughty I was beyond coal and just decided to give me break-your-teeth, nasty as a garbage pile cookies. That or my parents just didn't love me as I foolishly thought they did. I was one of those kids who believed that Santa was afraid of passing through my neighborhood with his pretty, temptingly shoot-able reindeer and just passed off the gifts to my parents.

You don't like the Dutch cookies? Well save me the pretzel shaped ones with the sugar on top, those are the best ones!
