I think the craziest experience I've had during my freshman year was in my Intro to Sociology class where the teacher would sniff our water bottles on the way in to class to make sure none of were carrying alcohol. I kid you not. She said some odd years ago some **** brought vodka in to class inside a water bottle...we were only hoping she was lying.  

The most fun experience I've had in my freshman year was at a Poetry Slam in the cafeteria where people would play their ringtones to provide beats for the poets...the funniest one was the rap remix to the Sesame Street theme song . Good times, good times.

Mind you, this was at a city school, where I hear that such things do not occur.
