When you partner (b/f or g/f) says they need their space; what do you think it really means?

"I need space" depends on the person saying it...For some that phrase could mean i dont want to be with u anymore...i want to sleep with someone else or it could really mean that the person iz feeling tied down so much that they jus need a lil space....but ur still going to be 2gether
I agree with tweety, it depends on who its coming from. To some, I need space is more like yeah, I like you but I'm finna see what's out there and come back to you if I need some "attention" and my hunt is a failure. To others it's a way of saying, yeah, I "love" you but we are starting to be in eachother's face a little bit too much and I need some time just to do me but I don't want you to dip out because I won't be freaking anyone else. Either way, if a someone tells me he needs space, please believe they are gonna get it cuz I'm gonna press the hell on :arrow:

...I've never told someone I need space or heard it. When its time to split the relationship dissolves and I've only gave one guy a couple chances...then again I've only had about 4 serious boyfriends in my life.
