So much to say...I'm so lazy. But freshman year is the best year. You're not too old to go to all the Holland Jams, Legion, you hang outside all night (until curfew)...then when you get off curfew you're still hanging outside. Its the best year to meet as many people as you can because after that cliques are formed and you find out that some folks you need to leave alone, people transfer, don't come back etc. But so far freshman year was the best year for me (not grade wise though  )

Thanks for the words of wisdom....you hear so many different things about the people at Hampton....I guess it all depends on who you hang out with....can I ask....why did you struggle grade wise freshman year

I still had a 3.0...but it was like a 3.03 (got a D in Health). I think it was because I had a little "friend", that and I like skipping class. I had an 11 so I wouldn't go to bed until like 2 or 3 am on the regular. Then I never went to Health...it was after my BIO lab and at Holland Hall which is on the other side of America...so I would go to my dorm when I was supposed to go to class. Also, since I had a late schedule all my friends would be out of class so I was tempted to skip. I did better second semester and WAYYYYYYYY better sophomore year. It was just a matter of finding out what type of schedule worked for me and prioritizing. My new BF doesn't go to Hampton so that's minus 1 distraction. I also stayed in a different dorm than my friends so..I didn't have them coming into my room distracting me either.

its best to try to go early but not too early...I know I would never take an 8 o'clock, but I can do 9...yeah that hour makes a big difference. You want to take your classes and get out as early as possible because sometimes there are alot of things going on in the afternoon, especially spring semester. So you don't want to be distracted...besides most of your friends will be done by 1 or 2 anyway...and you don't want to be the only one in class.
