oh my god, all this talk about them not having any financial aid left is really scaring me. so far, i don't have a lo tin scholarships to cover the cost for school. i was really depending on financial aid and scholarships. i am really really freaking out. guys i need your help what should i do. ALSO i feel extrememly stupid b-cuz this d-3 school in philly called keystone offered me $26,000 in financial aid and i told them that i'm going to attend hampton before i even got my financial aid package from hampton assuming that they would give me more or just some money b-cuz it's a hbcu. I'm so so so confused. i don't know if i made the wrong choice by saying no to keystone. honestly i really didn't want to go there. i want to go to hampton and that's what i decided on but now money $$$ is playing a huge huge significant role in my situation. SO hampton fam whatever year u are senior, junior, freshmen, whatever. I NEED YOUR HELP.

I would get on the phone and call and call and call.....hopefully they will get tired of hearing from you or feel sorry for you or something....the financial aid thing is big at HBCUs right now....have a good friend who could not go to Howard because of the lack of financial aid....seems like everyone is having to take out loans.....I know its easier said than done...but....relax....and just keep on Hampton Financial Office......good luck

With HBCUs if you don't apply early the money is gone even if you have the gpa's and SAT scores. It depends on how bad you want to go to Hampton or any other school for that matter...some sacrifices are gonna have to be made. What's you major...you may want to call your department to see if they have any money...usually the sciences and technological majors have money to offer.

hey...we are in the same boat. They are right..it really comes down on HOW BAD u wanna go to HAMPTON...if ur not sure, then i wouldn't risk it..but if u are postively definate that Hampton is where you wanna go..then, take out those loans, work ur **** off 1st year, get scholarships for the upcoming years...ur just gonna have to charge that 20K to the game. Think of it as investment..how bad do you want to succeed?

Cosigns on everything...if I do decide to attend Hampton I already know that since it is so late, I know I am facing nothing but loans...however, I know that it is an investment, and I REALLY want to go there...so I will just have to work my **** off to pay them off if I go there. No matter where I go I am facing loans. So basically for me it's where is the best place for me, as far as major goes, as far as where I will be happiest at...ask yourself the same questions, and u'll have the answer Hope this helped...

Baby doll you gotta get on your grind. I know loans are a **** but thats whats available at the moment. Your gonna have to work your **** off and pray till you sweat and your also gonna have to put your body second to your education. ( trust me I would know) If all fails you gotta cop a plea early. Sacrifice is key. Let me know how everything turns out. Good luck!!!!
