I think there is nothing wrong with it.Anyone of another race who makes the choice to attend an HBCU has respect from me...Thats a really bold thing to do.
i think everyone should go to the school that they love and are fully comfortable with. If someone of another race thinks that an HBCU is the place for them, i say "hey, go for it". An Asian girl from Canada lived on my floor last year @ HU and i would've thought she might feel a lil uncomfortable, but she loved HU.
My roommate last year was a white kid from Germany. He was on the track team and a really cool person. I have no problem with a person of another race going to an HBCU.
ok, how do ya'll feel about other races, like whites, goin to HBCs?
I really don't care as long as they don't take over. There are some ghetto white boys on my campus they fit right in. We have an Asian chic too. And of course there are the Boricuas, the Dominicans, Colombians. We have a bunch of foreigners on our campus. I don't care cause they all look black but speak a different language.
i wouldn't mind. i would think they look a bit out of place at first, since it is a historically black college/university but....i kno a lot of people who grew up the same way i did and went through the struggle so why shouldn't they be able to go to college in a familiar surrounding like I can as well.
Well the people from other races that spoke English were all cool. Everybody knows how our tennis team is...they look so nervous and confused sometimes..poor things
