Personally I don't think there is a such thing as acting Black. But I have came across ignorant ppl who say I act white, because i speak proper english and I'm articulate. Please post your opinions

Yea, I recieve the white jokes as well but not only because of how I speak. They say everything about me is "white",including my skin complexion, hair, eyes etc...It was really difficult to deal with when I was younger but now It doesnt bother me as much. Why cant a person be themselves with being described as white or black.Thats just something you cannot act out.As long as youre not hurting anyone, I say you should be yourself with no regrets.
ME MYSELF, SPEAK THE SAME WAY YOU SEE ME POSTING ON THIS WEBSITE. SO WHAT IF ITS PROPER, ISNT IT THE WAY WE SHOULKD TALK ANYWAY. IN MY EYES, MAINLY BECAUSE I WAS TEASED THROUGHOUT MY LIFE, I DONT THINK THERE IS A WAY TO ACT BLACK OR WHITE.
acting black....2 me....to exploit the traits made popular by black acting (just wanted 2 switch the words around )
such as using slang seen in rap videos starring black ppl...or using quotes from movies starring black ppl
dressing like the black ppl on tv
same with acting white
EXAMPLES
1.if u go into American Eagle Outfitters (who never called me back for a job  ) u'll see posters of only white ppl...thus when I make my opinion i say "hmm white posters this must b a white store"
2. a white person comes up to me and says "wutz good...dogg?"...after i get over how he said dogg i realize he doesn't look or sound like any of the other ppl i've seen say wutz good they were all black...so i'll say he's acting black
Just realize one that all women bring up(black women)
3. BO DEREK-- when a white woman wears braids she is considered 2 be trying 2 be or acting black because the style wuz rocked first by a black person
(been tryna figure out my answer the whole time bear wit me)
ok...i guess a trait/fashion/mannerism/etc. is associated with whoever broke it....so since more white ppl talk proper combined with how black ppl like 2 make murdering grammar and how things are pronounced made talkin well...well white
....dont u say "LaWd" tho....HaHaHa u'Z Kuhn-TrEE (stressin the point...)

I wrote on this topic long ago, going off about what it means to be a black American. It was probably one of the first times people started takin me seriously on the site.
I want some icecream cake.
Truthfully speaking, "acting black" can probably be used synonomously with "acting ignorant." Think about it. Most of the time when someone is acting black they are generally being loud (i.e. cursing someone out, neck weaving, etc), not using correct grammar, not wearing their clothes properly (i.e. sagging) and etc.
