Do you know anybody that talked all the time about pledging a particular organization, (ie: talked to members, went to workshops, & interest meetings) but then, were NOT accepted.....so they pledged the next best thing??
I know this girl that talked ALL THE TIME about becoming an AKA. she went to ALL the events they put on and went to 2 interest meetings. By the time she was ready to pledge the chapter had already put 2gether an underground line, and they were due to probate shortly. She knew they only had lines once every 1 or 2 years, so she started looking for other options. To make a long story short, she went to whoever was likely to put her on. she found the Zetas. now she represents Zeta like nobodys business!! party hops, nalia, etc!!
Do yawl know anybody like that, and if so, how are they perceived by the people that KNOW tha real deal??
 . Damn I'm glad i don't know anyone like that. I knew one **** that made an attempt at something like that, but **** caught on. People like that should be spat upon. Just want some letters on them.
YES!!! I know people like that. The AKAs on my yard justcrossed 58 girls. These girls had no interview, nor did they have to have community service. Everybody with a complete application packet was accepted, because the grad chapter brought them in. Anyway, close to 20 of those new girls had APPLIED to Delta and got REJECTED. It was so funny, because I recognized two girls who had been in my group at the Delta Rush, and I remember how amped they were about the possibility of being a Delta. My sorors and I went to their probate, and my prophytes were like Whoa! It was like a mini Delta Rush 2004 on their line. I felt sorry for them in a way. I am so glad that when I called Delta she answered. I really feel sorry for people who have to 'settle' for plan B.

Well, I know PLENTY of peeps like that...I call them "Flip-Floppers"
Some I have a problem with and some I dont. I dont have a problem if you are doing research and are HONESTLY stuck between 2 or maybe even 3 orgs. But to be hard pressed for one, dont get picked, and then go to another--you are a LETTER WEARER!
I've know dudes to pre-pledge an org, drop and go to another org only to drop again!? There have been plenty of girls who went to both an AKA and DST rush in the same dam month (umm, call me crazy but by the time rush rolls around you should know what org you are interested in). I know legacies who go to other orgs mainly because theirs did not have a line...I've seen it all
Prime Example...
I heard about this girl who wanted to be a DELTA for her entire life... Her mama was an AKA, so she was already knowledgable of how sororities work... She rushed DST for like 3 years, didn't make it, and then pledged legacy for AKA... needless to say, the AKAs got the last laugh.. Her line name was Pink Pyramid... LOL...
That just shows a lack of disrespect... like I can understand tryna throw people off the scent, but that was just WRONG.. I mean.. If they do something w/ those letters, great, but those types of people need help...
Being indecisive is one thing. Being a turn-coat really ****. I have little to no respect for them, but it happens in every organization. For people like that, I suggest they transfer to another school, in another state!
I've seen a couple of them at HU..... and since the AKAs haven't had a line in 3 years, people have crossed the fense and sought other ways for greek life. Kinda unfortunate

Are the zetas always considered second best or "the next best thing" ??
^^^^Depends on the campus.. A lot of people wanted to be AKAs (but there are none right now), but the process was too hard for DST (48 out of like 8 or 9 hundred applicants), so they couldn't do anything... The Zetas work for their letters... 2 of my good friends just crossed, and they have only wanted to be ZphiB... The SGRhos crossed 3, so I doubt that there were people who didn't want to truly be SGRhos on their line...
People.. usually will put other people on blast if they try and do that type of thing....
