I met this guy who just so happened to be going into the NBA draft when we started talking. Incidentally, he ended up getting picked and going to the Portland Trailblazers and came up on bookoo money and deals. Coulda been the perfect catch, HOWEVER, his attitude and personality was extremely sour. VERY cocky, Very possessive, VERY overbearing, and VERY much one of the worst experiences i've gone through. Soooo...we had to cut it loose. The more i come down on myself and say "Kenya, what was wrong with you?!?! This dude is in the NBA!"...the more i think to myself "Hell, there is no amount of money in the world worth how horrible that guy made me feel". I know that it's probably every girl's dream, but from my lil experience...talkin to a pro athelete is not all that it's cracked up to be.
Soooo...i was just wondering if anyone's ever dated/talked to/had a "thing" with a model, singer, athelete or "celebrity" of any kind. How was your experience? Good or bad?

even though this is the ladies forum, on new years i made out and almost slept with some girl who had her own arts and crafts show that i used to watch when i was little, i dunno if that counts lol i guess shes somewhat of a celeb around here

Girl, a lot of those women involved with NBA stars are so unhappy and only are there because of the money. It's probably easy being with a regular guy than a celebrity. So don't beat yourself up.

You're absolutely right. I'm sure it's not easy being with someone who is constantly away on the road, surrounded by groupies, and caught up in the limelight. It take something of substance to make u fight for that, and honestly...i had absolutely nothing to fight for.

Yeah, the "id" (:wink: ) in me is talkin to as well. But i have a feelin that if i listen, i'll just be gettin myself in unnecessary trouble. So as of right now, i'm gonna "just say no" to Ms. "id". Sumthin tells me that all of the "nice dates" in the world will never make up for constant heartache.
