I've heard from many people that the men at Morehouse are arrogant, or even elitist. Do the faculty ingrain that in the students, or are the majority of their students arrogant to begin with?
Well,my dad went to Morehouse for awhile before transfering.I also know a lot of guys there and I think its learned. The faculty instills confidence in the students but I'm not sure where the arrogance comes from.

I'd have to agree. From what I've seen first hand, Morehouse does instill more confidence in many of it's students. Unfortunatly, some students do not know how to handle that and their confidence mutates into arrogance.
As a freshman at spelman, i would have to say that saying the 'arrogance' from men of morehouse is learned, is like saying all spelman girls are stuck up. Its a generalization. I would def have to say that i think that its more immaturity mixed with excitement of going to such a prestigious school. B/c it seems that the upperclassment are confident, but not arrogant. and the freshman seem just to hype for their own good. but thats just what i see.
It is a microcosim of the entire black race and our attitudes towards one another.....
Yea,we have got to ease up because we need each other so much.
I disagree. I dont think that the problem with the black race is so much as an arrogance, but simply a fact that we simply put: 1) dont like to see people doing better then ourself and two2: dont want to help those who are not doing as well as us.
