Get to Howard first and get yourself settled in, then worry about trying to get on the newspaper staff. You will have plenty of time for that...TRUST ME.
Go to the budget meetings...they post the times they have meetings in the Hilltop...then they will assign you a story...then you work your way up ....good luck...oh yeah, and what miss j said...
journalism! i love it, i'm E-I-C of our high school paper and journalism is really what i love. i get the email version of the hilltop, it's pretty cool. i really hope i'm there next year, but if the money doesn't come through, i'll be stuck here.
i just kinda got into the whole journalism thang this year because of an article i wrote about my school's football team. so now i'm doin the whole editor of the sports page thang and i'm lovin it
as far as money... i still dont know how ima pai for howard but i know if GOD allowed me in He'll find a wai for me to maintain.
that's what all my friends told me. my dad just said he wouldn't pay for it anyways so i'm applying to a ton of scholarships.
there are a lot of journalism scholarships available if you take the time and look for them.
