In Georgia, every student takes the Georgia High School Graduation Test their junior year. The test is really, really easy. In fact, the math portion goes only to Algebra I. The student has to pass all four sections, but if he does fail one, it is offered several other times before he graduates. At my school, everybody passed every section the first time.

Well in Connecticut they are making all Connecticut high school sophomores beginning with the class of '05 pass the CAPT test. Even if they do well all 4 years and make good grades and receive all of their credits...if they do not pass the CAPT they cant graduate. They can retake it as any times as necessary, but I think it is soooo stupid. I would be mad as hell knowing I did well all 4 years, but because I am not a good test taker I cant graduate.......The legislatures who make these new laws are IDIOTS !!!!!! Its just like the SAT in my opionion. You cant measure what someone knows in a 3.5 hour exam compared to what they learned in four years. I feel it is just another way of tryin to hold down the black kids.

In Ohio everyone has to take the 9th grade proficiency test. You first take it in the eighth grade and you have up until the time you graduate to take it. A lot of people including myself passed it in eigth grade but I just graduated and there were about ten people who didn't get to graduate because of that test. I don't think it's fair, one boy missed passing by 1 point and another boy I know missed it by five points. It bad because they went through 4 years of high school and got nothing.

I don't think that whole testing thing is fair. I think if you earn all your credits you should be aloud to graduate. But I don't just think it's a way to hold minorities back I think it's high school students in general. Because I know both blacks and whites that didn't walk b/c of this.

I'm from OHIO and I believe yer a **** if you can't graduate because of the Profezzy Test. I undrstand you if transferred tot he school your Senior year, BUT YOU AHVE 2 TRIES FROM 8TH TO 12 GRADE TO PASS A SIMPLE **** TEST! They don't change the test, the same crap they had in 8th grade they'll have in 12th grade. You really don't deserve to graduate if your stupid **** can't pass 8th grade math and yer in your Senior year.

in colorado we don't have exit exams, only in the Advanced Placement classes, but you get college credit if you take those.
