Im goin off to howard soon and everyone says it's a party school. I also heard that a lot of freshmen have a hard time keeping their grades up the first year. :? Is this true, will I have to spend all my free days studying? :?:
first off, this should be in the Bison forum if you want HU specific responses.
anyways, I kept my grades up just fine.. I think I'm gonna have to attribute it to have great friends, and knowing my limitations... at HU.. if you don't have an agenda, someone WILL give you one....
Unless you are completely anti-social, you won't spend ALL your time studying..STUDYING is truly a team sport...(UGL).. I'd say that if you don't get the swing of it by homecoming (midterms), then you should start to change up your system of doing things....
like i was told to "study as hard as ya can during the weekdays, but during the weekends(including friday) thats your free time"...it worked for me especially since i would have studied so much even if i had a test that monday i wouldnt need to cram or anything...just review for like 20 minutes
p.s--during homecoming time, teachers really dont give a damn...well mine didnt at least  ....and dc is where its at because FOR EVERY SINGLE legal holiday we got time off, such as for columbus day  ...and if it snowed like 1/2 an inch lol, or if a "****" was gonna pop up....man there were so many off days you will catch up if ya need to just on those days alone....but umm i usually went shopping in those time with my friends so **** me lol
