yes it does put you at an advantage in some fields, and you can't do some occupations without one, but you won't be a complete faluire if you decide college is not for you! that's a downright LIE that's been fed to just about everyone.
i dropped out in 2003 and right now i have a sales job paying me $45,000 a year. 8-)
o yeah, walmart can kiss my big bright red rosie!
o yeah...****@educators.....you spend 6 years in college, $100,000 in student loans, and you come ut making 35 grand a year.
i sat in a dorm passing gas and farting around on this site for like 6 months, and i;m 10 grand ahead.
ah i'm only fing around like this because it's payday. 8-)
well do you wish to be in "sales" your entire life? and some choose careers because they're passionate about that particular field...not because of salary...and my brother came out of undergrad making 60K working as an engineer because he was already working as an intern at an internship he attained through his university
but I digress...college definitely isn't for everyone...but as black people, we need to take advantage of every opportunity available because we're already a step behind
thats good for you, way to make it happen...my parents are strong advocates making your own path to success and not just going to college for the heck of it...too bad they did'n't have any good alternative ideas for me with all that "forge your own path" stuff they were talkin :x
i'd rather finish up gettin my degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics, and start out making $60,000.
but that IS true, not everybody needs to go to college to make money. i mean, look at Jay-Z! i don't think HE went to college!
bad example.

You know that mentality will keep you wallowing in the mediocrity that you continue to **** and moan about.

*rubs $100 bill across superfly's nose*
payday is friday....which one of you chicks wanna party? 8-)
you know i would have never gotten this job had i not worked for walmart???? the only reason why she gave it to me is ebcause i have manement experience. i was the photo center maneger for a couple of months....that's a nother tip folks....wheerever you are, always try to go into manegment...i don't care if it's mickey d's or whatever, manegent is alwayus a plus on your app.
yea you definitely don't need a college education to live well. A good friend of mine is making millions doing what she does now and all she has is her diploma. But let me tell you, if you decide to go that route you have to be willing to take risks, and be able to change your game plan accordingly....o0h and you def. have to be focused. Homegirl got into the money game doing backgroud vocals, then moved on to videos, and now is the head model of an exclusive parisian high end fashion company annnnndddd owns her own modeling/dance agency...can you say cha-ching? But she puts in work and has made so0o many sacrafices. The lifestyle isn't for everybody.
