Yes, HBCU's have administration problems because most of the schools are poor and the emphasis has slightly shifted from producing intelligent and successful men and women into turning the school into a money making business.
Whoever said that laziness and understaffing were the main problems of a HBCU administration is telling the TRUTH!!! At my school right now, there are lines going outside the building trying to talk to the finacial aid officers, which are understaffed. For all the money we pay here to go to school, this problem should not be happening!!!
As students we can't blame everything on administration. I mean you can't expect VIP treatment when you are always turning paper work in late...constantly making late payments (I know money can be tight...but some folks are plain ol trifling)....making mistakes when filling out applications
Now don't get me wrong some people have legitimate excuses...but half of those long lines are flooded with individuals who want to complain at the last minute because they messed up.
8 times out of 10 if you are prompt and doing what you need to do...The University will be prompt and do what it needs to do.
