Due to recent post and extreme use of the word I thought that I would make this post. I wrote a novel called "I'm not a n*gga", that explained the history of the word and how it has evolved and the power that it has had on our people. Well the overall purpose of that novel (really short story) was to tell why we shouldn't refer to each other as n*ggas and how it is hypocritical to get mad at another race for using it when you use it everyday.
Everybody who knows me knows that I can't stand the word (just ask Wizdom and FAMU_first) I try to protest when ever I hear somebody using it but I find that I am often alone in my thinking and to many people it has just become another word, and it is often too energy consuming. I think there was a post like this before but, HOW DO Y'ALL FEEL ABOUT THE WORD N*GGA!
I didn't say that we are all **** that was somebody else.
Trust me, there is no way that I have been brainwashed. I know exactly what I am talking about.
Ok, I'll agree that past affects our present in many ways but not in certain ways. Like if I wear a hat one way 20 years ago and it looks bad. I can wear that same hat today the same way and it will look good. What I'm saying is things change. Allow yourself to change with the times.
****, the full pronunciation, is kinda bad. But the title of your post is ****. **** and **** are different. Usually when you say **** you are trying to use the standard definition of it and are usual trying to put down. But when you say **** you are using the slang definition of it.
To me **** is just like person. You guys are using a way too strict definition of ****.
Lemme restate what I said then that you highlighted. Are you trying to tell me that it is impossible to use the word **** in a positive context? **** is not always meant to sting.
Damnit, words are used to express ideas. If the idea in your head is trying to say "How are you doing good friend", and it comes out "Wut up ****", what's the problem?

When it boils down to it the words are one in the same. When you are watching TV and the captions come up on the when some body says N*gga what does it read on the screen? N*GGER. Even you in your last post switched the words back and forth synonymously. My whole point is that N*gga is really just N*gger with a different ending. We can try to flip it as much as we want but it remains the same

I understand where your coming, REALity I really do. But explain this as someone stated before:
When 2 individuals get in an argument or fight, besides curse words, WHY is ni99a the second most used word?
There is always a sharp sting in the word because of its root meaning.
anything can be used negatively. I can use the word woman negatively if the need found me. "Dayum woman sit yo **** down." etc. The placement of word and the context in which a word is used is what makes a word bad.
Please dont try to argue this point with me cuz I'll get started on connotations and denotations, as well as syntax and other Sh*t like that.
<---English Major.
actually woman is not a negative word. Please use another example because that was not a good one.
i really don't use it that often, but when other people use it i don't mind. now i don't let them call me a ****. and this white girl who thinks she's black says it all the time i have to put here in her place. i think the only way it brings down our people is when we use it negatively and when we do stupid things that might as well erase everyting the generations before us have done. ya know

If you feel that way then why is it any different when a white person calls you N*gga. Don't you think that is slighty hypocritical.

**** is only a word..Too bad we have given it so much power...The more we use it the less effect it will have on us..My Nicca..
