Things that only people in your hometown/state know about Posted on 01-22-2005

What are some things, whether it's rappers, slang, styles of dress, dances, clubs, etc. that only people in your hometown or state know about? For example, if somebody from a different region was like "oh so you from _____ so I know you like to...." you'd prolly get excited and respond like "daaamn what you know about that!!!"

LOL definitely somethin most of us from LA do. I do it so that my jeans don't drag on the ground, because most people have to cuff their jeans or either they just let em hang and thats how they get all torn up in the back and get dirty. But I put the front part over where it's tied at so you wouldn't even know I do it til I lifted my jeans up

Yup. That sounds about right. Those first Friday's aren't that serious, but it's 'something.' For us to be the "2nd largest city in GA" (really... :? ) we have ONE mall and a whole bunch of trees. Hell, my neighborhood is a forest. The northern part of our city is in a whole 'nother state across the water. The Masters Tournament is only great for those who have jobs during their spring break (a good way to make a simple grand). The RCBOE pisses people off on a daily basis; there's always at least one headline about them in the Chronicle. 2003 was the last year that graduations were held in the civic center. Of course, that didn't apply to me being a graduate at Davidson, but I had mad folk to support in 2004. So that was a huge inconvenience. 1996 was my best year in that city...
