Ok I have come to realize that us greeks tend to get stressed out over some of the things that prospects may do or say…simply because they do not know proper protocol. So this thread is for all the greeks to list things that ALL ASPERANTS SHOULD KNOW in terms of proper behavior. (Lets try to keep it simple)
I will begin:
1) Do not go to an interest meeting for more than one org…do your research until you know which one is best for you.
2) If you only want to be greek for the following reasons…then this isn’t for you:
A.Want to join because you like to step
B.Want to get more girls/guys
C.Want to become popular/accepted
3) Do not wear and org’s colors to an interest meeting
4) Do not throw up greek hand signs or do the calls
5) Do not go around telling people what org you are a prospect of.
6) Stay away from the words “ I’m gonna be a ________” or “I’m a future________”
7) Do not cut through party walks or brake lines.
'Tis all for now…

If a person has submitted to an organization and turns around and pledge another one that person isn't loyal to any organization. I understand what you are saying that people should have other options if they get rejected. I say the option is to either go Grad or just not be Greek at all. The Greek world is a small world and everyone tends to know people in that circle. The Greek world is also about respect. The person that goes and pledge another organization after being rejected will always be known as a person who just "wants to be greek" in those greek circles. There will always be someone who is going to hate on them for doing that! They lose their respect. If you feel like you have always wanted to pledge xyz, why in the world would you go to another organization and submit? That doesn't make sense. It seems like that person is choosing to settle for an org that wasn't their first choice! I feel like that person who does that, isn't loyal to anyone's organization. I don't understand why an organization would take on someone's rejects? You would think that they would be mad at the particular individual who had the audacity to come and submit to them as a SECOND choice. If the org is a second choice would that person even value that organization? Just a thought!
Congratulations!
Now, two weeks later you find out that one of your line sisters was rejected by ABC. Who would you stand by if a member of ABC started talking trash about your XYZ sister?

That IS harsh.
I didn't keep you waiting too long did I? lol
