Prospective Spelman Women

this thread is for high school seniors who are HIGHLY interesed in attending Spelman College

Have u guys heard of Skills USA? thats what's at my school because we are a school for Science, Technology, and Industry.

We have a vocational school at my school and they're apart of SKILLS USA. My school used to be five schools in one: MIDDLE SCHOOL-- (students got moved to an elementary school) HIGH SCHOOL-- (basic high school) VOCATIONAL-- (cosmetology, home ec, auto mechanics, daycare, etc.) OPTIONAL-- (HOSA {health} & TSA {technology}) AND A SCHOOL FOR MENTALLY ILL CHILDREN--(self-explanatory)

oh kool. My school has everything from engineering to cosmetology. I'm in education careers and I work in the childcare center with 2-5 year olds

i always wanted to do that, but them lil kids bad! but during halloween the daycare students take the lil kids (in their cute costumes) around the main high school and our teachers give them candy.

That is exactly what we do and during christmas we take them around to sing carols. I love those kids and I would do anything for them. I guess you just have to have a passion. At Spelman, they have a child development lab, so I will be doing the same thing at Spelman (except more) I can't wait. I LOVE SPELMAN !!!!

oooh! did i tell yall what happened last week? i got invited to meet with an admissions director from spelman. it was in an envelope and it said spelman college in the corner. I WAS SO EXCITED! I was like, "My acceptance already?"...then I read the letter and was like, "Oh". Then I remembered. I haven't even sent in all my stuff. hehe :-)

nooooooooooo! i never get gear! :-( i think i got this invite cuz the meeting is in town. I think the lady's name is Kara Garner (not sure tho). She's supposed to be at a library in Memphis Saturday talking about admissions, life at SC, and other stuff. Two of my friends who expressed interest in SC said they were invited, too. So who knows?

ooohh i wish they would do that in louisiana oh yeah im about to give them a call...any questions ya'll would like me to ask for ya'll?
