class of 2008 its finally our turn! For those that are highschool seniors what schools are you applying to? here's my list in no particular order. 1.howard 2. hampton 3.clark atlanta 4.temple 6.johnson c smith 7.a & t 8. famu 9.drexel 10.del state 11.lincoln 12.univ of del the ones in the bold if i get accepted ill get a scholarship to but i want to go to a black college that has a strong journalism program , so who knows where i'll end up lol

I came from N.O. to Baton Rouge... Hence the Screen Name... but I mean..I understand if you want to spread your wings... But LSU is on my top list...I'm just waiting to see if I will get one of their Chancellors scholarships or something to cover what TOPS won't.

They had a student q&a and I felt like the students were being honest and they actually cared...one of them even gave the whole auditorium his celll #...i think his name was Marcus Ware...im gonna marry him!! 4. THE BOYS/MEN THERE WERE GORGEOUS!!!!! They all had their own style but none of them looked lame..big accomplishment 5. The females were all beautiful too..and for once i didn even find myself hatin...and that says sumthin 6. That marching band was on pt...they got skillls 7. They have crazy school spirit over there....no1 even goes to my hs's games..but every1 there was decked out in Howard attire for the football game 8. Howard is mos def NOT in the ghetto...actually its a lil bettr than Flatbush(for those of u frm brooklyn) 9. It jus felt right...I dont even wanna visit or apply anywhere else.....THE MECCA IS MY HOME
yea...i was at the open house as well i think that the q & a session with the students was the most informative...im jah like blind so i couldn't really see dude but yea...marcus was a jont...i mos def booked him....lol...naw but 4realhoward has been my 1 choice for the last 4 years now so i know thats where i want 2 be but aat the end of the day....unfortunatly... it all comes down to money but these are the schools im lookin at 1. Howard 2. Hampton 4 reall howard is the only skool i wanna go to but if i can go to howard...god forbid hampton is def number 2 imma apply to -university of maryland College park -umbc -morgan stae and i really don't kno where else

I was at the open house too!!! I love howard so much and it is not in the ghetto it depends on where you live and how you see it but I didn't really think howard was ghetto at all!!! I love the questions & answer part they were so informative The marching band was really nice!!! I got marcus # too lol!!!

yea i love howards marching band howard is my top choice i've never seen so much diversity between balck people its amazing and i know that's what im missin especially at my type of school im at now which is predominately white school

tops covers everything for public state schools

TOPS only covers tuition and fees up to a certain amount there is still books, boarding, room, etc.

IF yall did ur admissions essay already did u read it to anyone meaning family or teachers or sumbody other than ur peers? cuz it would be plain stupid to read it to someone going to college the same year... well at least in my book i made the mistake in reading it to my mom because i wanted feed back....so umm the weirdest thing happened she just started crying and im like damn is it that bad.....and she was like dont read nemore ur going to make me cry even more and im like okay mommy then she started reminiscing about my pre k days and mind u it was only about 3 paragraphs....but ok wonder what she gonna be like at graduation....

no ive gotten my mentors to edit it but no one my age i don't think they have enough justifications to do that
