^Agree to disagree. Did you go to the South a have a bad experience or something cause I've noticed that you always have a somewhat negative comment about the south or southerners.
LOL What? Me?? When do I ever have negative comments to say about the south? Please find those threads n comments and show em to me because whatever I say is just an unbiased observation of the truth. I go to FAMU so I've been around a whole lot of southerners, and like I always say...I have a lot of positives and negatives to say about them...the same way I have a lot of positives and negatives to say about people back in LA. I still don't think I am sayin anything negative by saying a truth that the south as a whole is behind, because MANY MANY people have said it. I only realized it and began to say it when my history teacher explained us how things happened after that war. I just think you get offended hearin that and you don't agree with it because you aren't seein it in the same way that we are. WE ARE NOT INSULTING THE SOUTH! WE ARE NOT SAYING EVERY PERSON IN THE SOUTH IS BEHIND EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE COUNTRY!!!
Sweety, calm down. It's not even any hostility in my content. Just responding like you supposed to in a messageboard. Im not denying your history or statistics. Just out of curiousity, are those statistics reflecting just African Americans or the regions as a whole?

I'm not hostile either, just typin with a lil excitement. These statistics are definitely representin the regions as a whole, not just the blacks. Sayin that, it really has more to do with the whites if you ask me, because it's not as many whites living in poverty in the west and east than it is in the south, and I am sure of that. I know my teacher was speakin about everybody, mainly the whites, because even though the south overall wasn't as affluent as the north back in the late 1700s, many blacks were able to move to other regions and become successful since then, but many of the whites from the south were stuck.

Though you may disagree it's fact.... The most of the best colleges are in the north... The has been behind since the Civil War like he said... Famous historians have documentaries on this... Most of the big cities in the south are still young and have not yet reached their full potential. But while great industries were being developed in the north, most of the south was still rural..... No one is saying the north is better, because I like a lot of things about the south. People are friendlier, it feels very ****, and I have grown a greater appreciation for nature!!

This is why black people wont ever get anywhere, we spend too much time putting each other down because of differences in appearance, dress, style and grammar. We all black and no matter how much slower someone down south might talk, we still come second to someone whose white so the argument is a moot one. Secondly, DONT STEREOTYPE THE SOUTH PLEEZE!

LOL....I hope you aren't talkin to me. I never ever ever put anybody down in this thread and I never put down an entire region or selection of people for no valid reason. I think some people in the South are just too sensitive when it comes to these kind of discussions. You have to realize what is factual and true, versus what may be false and made up to insult you. I know I never insulted anybody from the south because of how they talk. Yeah I poke fun at some of them, but I do the exact same thing with people in LA and everywhere else because of how they talk, and that's all in fun, never serious.
