I took the 9/15 one as well but I only got a 26 I just knew that I was getting at least a 30 man!!! Now I'll have to take it again on Dec 8.....ughhhhh I didn't want to have to do this again. But this is a good thing because it shows that I'm a better ACT taker than I am SAT. Great job rkfl2004!!! You betta do it girl. Now I just need to buckle down and get my head straight for Dec, because I am going to get on my ACT grind

Awww...srry Evy...i def thought i was gonna get a 25 or somthing becuase that science section was no joke....but yea..you should buy a review book or two(I bought 4..lol) and get on your grind..I gotta see YOU at the Mecca come Fall '08...GOOD LUCK GIRL!!!
Im taking the act at the end of this month does any one have any sugguestions for books i should buy to prepare
The ACT For Dummies is really really really good...It has a lot of info but its presented in a concise and entertianing way so it's easy to keep up with- but
you might wanna start with the Official ACT Study Guide..It's published by the actual makers of the ACT so it has actual tests(plus) but there aren't too many hints or tricks(minus)..b/c obviously they don't wanna simplify their own test too much....thats why you should get the first book
I also bought a Princeton Review Act Study Guide (2006 Edition..I think) but I never really opened it, and since you're taking the test so soon you should proably stick with the first two(i found them realllllly helpful..did i mention that..lol....One more VERY IMPORTANT THING...When you're taking the practice tests make sure you time yourself...because I didn't time myself and wasn't used to having to rush like I ended up having to do on the day of the test..and that only made me xtra nervous...but yea thats it....GOOD LUCK

They don't offer the Sept. ACT in Louisiana, so Oct. 27 is game time.
But I'm confident that my 30 from '06 will increase to at least a 34.
