Post what HBCU you are going to and holla at some people and maybe you can find a room-mate for when you start your freshman year at the HBCU you are going to attend...
Nothing beats knowing people before you hit campus... This is the perfect place to do it...
I'd like to know my roomate, but if I don't that's cool too. I'll be going to either A&T or Fayetteville State in the Fall.
Holla back.

I wouldn't want to know them, because, I would like to meet sombody new, but in a way I would love to know who they were, because I might not get along with them 8)
It would be nice if I knew my roomate before I went off to school, but it really doesnt matter to me. The best thing about knowing your roomate is that you know each others habits and likes and dislikes   :!:
To me, it depends on if the roommate was a good friend of mine or not. If it was one of my real close friends or just someone I got along with, that'd be good to know ahead of time. But I've also been somewhere where I didn't know my roommate or suitemates that I'd be staying with for 6 weeks and it was an amazing experience! I think I'd be fine either way; it just depends on who you're lucky enough to meet.

I would like to know my roommate if I could. Because it would not be seem so hard. But, in a way it kind of takes the fun out of going out on your own.
It does not really matter to me if I know my roomate before hand; however, I feel I would be more comfortable if I talked to them and met them before I actually went off to college and found there was going to be problems between us. I would not want to room with a person I have know for a while. One point in going to college is to meet new people, but I would be cool if they were down the hall or something.
I'm not used to having people up under me and i'd rather save friendships that i've had...i have a question though....i have a friend who wants to room with me but idon't think we should because we were in virginia over the summer a week and was almost ready to **** each other...but she said that she think we can do it because we were basically stuck together then and in college it'll be different things to do...i was wondering what do you all think i should do
It would coo to know people when we get to school. What we should do is try and ALL meet when we go to school, kind of like an HBCU-central meeting. But I will be going to Howard...so yell at me.
