well what do you prefer to be called?
actually, i don't mind being called Negro because I feel that when we were Negros, we made our greatest progress and the greatest of all blacks were called Negroes.

black or negro. the whole hyphen etymology thing bothers me, because they only use continents when dealing with africa or asia. you never hear "european american" its always the country , i.e italian american or german-american. and touche' on demmeri's point, we made more progress when we were negroes

I prefer African American because my parents are African. It'd be nice to say Ghanaian-American, but most people wouldn't know what that is.
