can somebody help me with my decision on which sorority I should pledge with. i'm between seta phi beta, delta, and alpha kappa alpha. my personality doesn't fit that of either of them, but i like them. i'm shifting more towards zeta but i want to pledge delta. so can somebody help me.. thanks
If i could help u I would,but I'm trying to decide what 2 pledge myself write now, I'm between Delta and AKA. I really don't get why most of the people had to be rude to u and not just answer your question. I think if they didn't have anything helpful to say to you, they shouldn't have posted a comment at all! But this just MY opinion. BUt let me know what u find out about the different sororities.
Im not affiliated with any sorrorities but from my knowledge is where im coming from.......im surprised no one has said this yet but ummm yall need to know DISCRETION is key and vital in this process and yall just f' d that area up this may be the reason youve been getting nasty comments because if u ever presented that statement or question to a bglo of ur choice i can put money on it and guarantee u u will never get in maybe it would be a good idea instead of by passing the sticky notes in the greek forum to actually stop and read through protocol by akatude thats y it was made a sticky newayz yeah thats my lil bit......

If you feel your personality doesn't fit with any sorority then maybe greek life isn't for you...don't force it cuz itll be fake and itll show...also your personality doesn't have to fit exactly...these organizations have thousands of women in them...we all know black women don't get along that well but these women are united based on common beliefs on which their organization was founded. If you can identify with the beliefs of one particular org and feel you're "down for the cause" and lifetime commitment then go with that. Its a very serious matter and not to be taken lightly, which is why I understand ur dilemma. You will always hear the phrase "do your research" and after that you should be able to figure out which org fits you best.Don't JUST look at the girls on ur campus, the history of these organizations are very strong by themselves.
Don't come on message boards shouting out which orgs you are interested in because the net is full of info and black greek life is a small world and news travels fast. You will not be taken seriously. Ive seen ppl get shot down plenty of times online and in person. Keep ur interest to urself and only that particular org should know ur interest in them. (Maybe other interests with whom ur cool and know will keep their mouth shut)

lol...fyi...u don't chose the org you WANT to "pledge" the org CHOSES you...only if we want...lets just get that clear. SECONDLY...research, research, RESEARCH I can't stress that enough. Maybe u should consider buying a book called "The Divine Nine" by Laurence Ross I am sure that will help you to get an slite insite about what greek life is REALLY about and not the superficial things that you THINK were about.
