not paying 10% of any money u recieve to God is sin. i dont ever hear any of my friends sayin they have to pay their offering when they stay gettin money.
Some people would also say that your money is supposed to go to God first or atleast set aside before you start spending your check.
There something in the bible about people not wearing two different fabrics in one outfit. I gotta find the scripture tho.

I think I curse more on this site than I have in person lately...what are yall doing to me :lol: Sike naw...but even in person I've just started trying to substitute another word for a curse word.
As far as cursing I think a line from the movie Malcolm X described it best: "Man curses because he doesn't have the words to say what's on his mind." Or something to that effect.
But yeah, people do be cursing a lot on this site, and the funny thing is a lot of them think they make it better by replacing letters here and there (ie replacing "it" with "yt" or "uck" "with "ukk") I mean come on that's really not changing anything. If you're gonna curse, then do it. If you feel bad about it, then don't do it, ya feel me?
And finally, what's the deal with these pictures in people's sig, with folk holding up there middle finger? Is that supposed to be cool or something? Or is it supposed to be like a "Fight The Power" type thing? I mean it just makes me want to ask them, what are ya'll so angry at? It's not like you're broke, busted and digusted. You're young black folk going to college, and you're doing well enough financially to have internet access to be on this site. Or maybe they're trying to fake like they're thuggish or something dumb like that. But guess what... (and everybody's heard this a hundred times). "Thugs don't go to college..."

How does the censoring thing work? Cause I've seen cursing on here spelled out correctly. Like when folk get into it and get into their little arguments in these threads, not everything gets censored...
Cursing is a sin, and the sad thing is way too many people do it, especially those people who claimed to be Christian. The first thing I hear people say in defense to that is, "Where does it say I can't curse in the Bible?" Well here you go:
"But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth." - Colossians 3:8
My question is what constitutes fillthy communication of your mouth? That has always been up for debate. Technically, if you say "Waaammp you" and there is malice behind 'wamp' then its profanity. Now if you say... "That sh!t was hot" whats wrong with that? Sh!t is a great all purpose noun and and there is no malice, anger, wrath, blasphemy behind it in context. Its just another word. Now if you say "You ain't sh!t!!!" thats different. Plus i'm sure it wasn't around in biblical times and although it may be profanity to us it isn't to people in other languages. I think it what is profane depends mostly on how it is used in context. Thats just my opinion tho.

Look at it like this "filthy communication of your mouth" is any that you know is inappropiate. I do agree with you that regular words used with malice behind them is just as bad as cursing, however using curse words I believe isn't acceptable in any situation. Ok let's use your quote for example. Would you say, "That sh!t was hot" in front of your mother? Or would you say it in front of your church? Or better yet would you say it in front of Jesus?
Probably not, and you know why? Because despite what argument you give, in your heart and in your mind you know that there's just something inherently wrong with cursing...
