Do you have satellite radio? Is satellite radio worth paying for?Would you trade in your regular car radio for a satellite radio? What are your overall thoughts of it?
In general, I think satellite radio is excellent. You have a variety of stations to choose from. However, I think people that travel a lot probably benefit the most from satellite radio, since you don’t have to constantly find stations. Personally, I am a CD person. Therefore, I take my best CDs on the road, when I travel. If you have an opportunity to get satellite radio and you spend a lot of time in your vehicle, I would say go for it.
Yeah sat radio is good for commercial free listening(some channels), uncensored music and talk shows but like you said, I can't see myself paying for it. I think the home kits make it more worthwhile but then again I'm not listening to that much music at home either. Give me free service and I'm there! lolI'm with you TSU, I'm a CD person (even though my changer is on the fritz :angry I like to control what I listen to. Whenever I get my iPod (hint hint for anybody looking to buy me a gift :innocent there will be no need for my changer.Let's say we all had it for free and installed in our vehicles, of the 100+ stations, how many of them would you even listen to? My brother had it free for a year when he bought his truck and he said he only listened to about 6 or 7 stations!
I've heard a lot of good things about satellite radio, especially if you like to experiment with new music and artists that you might not otherwise know about.Personally, I like my Ipod, but I get in the mood for something new every now and then, not to mention other kinds of programming (talk radio etc) so I might need to check this out.
