LOL! I'm an "Old head". But to answer your question... I LOVED FAMU. Actually knew that was the school I'd go to since I was in 2nd grade.
Life at FAMU is fun and challenging at times. Just like all college experiences it had it's ups and downs, but I KNOW somethings that were the downs have certainly improved since my time on "The Hill" (for those that don't know FAMU sits atop the highest of 7 hills in Tallahassee )
Go with an open mind and enjoy every second. FAMU has been a huge networking tool for me AFTER college too. When I was there FAMU held the title of the university that graduated the MOST African Americans (Bachelor)... so that tells you something there
apartments are a waste of money! if you can afford to live on your own, just get a house. roommates too if you gotta.. but at least paying on a house is an investment.
well it is early to be thinkin bout home ownership as a freshman L0L, but hey- young folks doin BIG things nowadays. as for the ickiness of the dorm, i think ima tough it out this year. i feel like i want the experience.. i never had to share anything with anybody before.
