yep. . . label me an elitist, I guess. And I don't agree with teaching high/middle schoolers how to party train. They can be on the step team, but I seen them cats party train before. Greek life ain't even special anymore.

What's party train..if you are referrin to strolling them I'm one of the ones you're talkin bout. I was the Pres. of the Archonettes of the Mu Chi Zeta Graduate Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta INC! And we strolled right along wit the Zetas...they taught us alot of their steps and struts and even tha Sigmas showed us a couple...We were even shown the Sigma hop. I didn't find anything wrong wit it...it's kinda of like a preview of what to come if you were to join tha Frat or Sorority
Well personally....I am a SapPHIre of Phi Delta Psi Fraternity Inc. We are the sisters of the Deuces(the guys). The Deuces and the SapPHIres got mad love for one another. We are their sisters, their only sisters, and their true sisters. We went through an intake process and from that the SapPHIres are true sisters to eachother. We are not a sorority...but heck who knows....We stroll right along with our brothers, we stroll by ourselves...We have our own personality. Strolling to me is showing the unity of the family while having a good time. This is what we show when we do our strolls, and we are hype as anything when we do it to! So to the person who said he has a problem with "non greeks/non Pan Hell" people strolling.....can you break it down....tell me why.
And if anyone wants to know more about my Phamily....here is the website.

I don't think non-national, freshman or unofficial groups should enjoy the same privileges we have as greeks. That's what makes being greek unique and admired; that we can participate in and do somethings that normal students cannot.
I thought I already did a good job of explaining why I'm against non-pan hell orgs party training. If you want to serve the community then go do community service. If you want to emphasize brotherhood, then throw a cookout and drink beer. Leave the stepping traditions to us. Let the archonettes, junior steppers, sigma betas, etc have something to look forward to.
My other reason is because people begin organizations so they won't have to submit themselves to a well established product. Being a rebel is one thing, but the true reason many of these groups begin frats, is because they are not eligible, or were denied access to a traditional group.
Case in point, I have seen a fraternity spring up on a local campus, made up of rejects of other organizations. Most of the rejects didn't qualify academically, so they formed their own group. Within two years, that group, which admitted freshmen (while Pan-Hell groups had to wait for sophomores) became the largest greek lettered org on campus. All because some cats couldn't/wouldn't cut the mustard.
As far as high schoolers "strolling" I'm against it; somethings should be left for college. That is my opinion.
Iiight Wile E. i'm still a lil perplexed. In your statment does it include an org like Phi Mu Alpha or KKPsi. They are non-pan hell but they aren't social frats either. It doesn't really matter, but i'm still curious to see what ur answer is.
I don't have a problem with Groove Phi Groove, Swing Phi Swing, KKPsi, or Phi Mu Alpha because those are "nationally" recognized organizations with well established traditions, rules and regulations.
Some of these groups are just being created to form another social group; I've even seen some formed to circumvent the rule about hazing and pledging. To know that some dude who started line with me, drops and comes back as a blank phi blank; strolling, making handsigns and doing calls, doesn't sit right with me.
Getting back to the original post, I don't have a problem with sweets and auxillaries, but some of them do get too big for their britches. I've seen sweets wear the "name"; I've seen them do the call, and all kind of stuff frat should have known better than to teach them. And once again, I don't agree with them doing party trains. The only females that party train with me are sorors.

I can respect WilleE.'s statement......to represent an organization that you hold dear and true to ur heart and the ideals and values established by founders....and then to see other's "immitate" or "mimic" those ideals, values, and rituals for "fun" or "spite".....I may have felt the same way as well.
I'd like to say something as the starter of this post...There are plenty of post asking how people feel about "Aux" groups...Thats not what this post is for...its for recognition....and I'd appreciate it....if it stayed that way...nothing against anybody but we all have our own opinions...and this is not an opinion post...if you don't understand us...you never will...but we do exist...and This is for the ones that already are...not the ones who think we shouldn't be and all of that other crap...Thank You!
I also have one other thing to say...The reason I joined is because as a freshman...when you go on college campuses...you are looking for a way to get involved...now I want to go greek...but I couldn't do that as a freshman...at the end of the day...I went were the love was shown...A-hearts...showed the love...they reached out and they had my back regardless of if I was or if I wasn't....I went through something that...if I hadn't been an A-heart...I don't think I could have made it because I had clicked with noone like I had clicked with them and they were the ones who had me when I was at my weakest...On the campus I became at....We are not considered sweethearts because of the obvious reason that sweethearts are banned...but we respect our history so we still associate and deal...Just recently we almost got into some trouble and the Dean of students (who is a Kappa)...asked what we were about....and my sister told him that we aren't sweethearts but if we didn't respect our history then we might as well be a whole nother organization...he agreed...I feel like if one of the Bruh's can call on us to make them some chicken for their party...then we should be able to stroll with them...why not....and because they've seen what we go through...they have no objections...strolling is not the only thing that makes a greek organization and for everything that the bruh's may do...nine chances out of ten...they are going to call us to have their back and in that instance...there is no reason for us not to be able to stroll...now we don't stroll with them because we are still technically not sweethearts...but we do stroll...and I have known for them to jump in our line and do strolls with us...with that said...back to the original matter at hand
