okay yall so im bout to be new to this whole "college" thang and im so eerie about havin a roomate !!! man i aint had to share a room since 88' so tell me whats up wit the roomates... the good, the bad and the stinky...let it rip....

I always lived in a campus apt
I dont like the dorm thing cant mess around
But i mean the roomates i have are cool
It's a 4 bedroom and we cool
We all from big places Me Michigan them LA

We have a roomate from ms he kool but yung but kool ya no

I'm an only child, so i'm used to havin my own space. Havin a roomate was HELL for me. Not cuz i had to share my space, but becuz my roomate was a psycho lesbian! Not sayin all lesbians are psycho, just this one. She was loud as hell, on all kinds of medication, carried around a blade, had no respect for me while i was sleep or on the phone, her girlfriend stayed in the same dorm so she spent the night all the time, maaaaann...i can go on and on. 1st semester, i wasn't in the room much, spent the night other places or always had a meeting/class to go to and when i wasn't there i was just avoiding her and kickin it elsewhere. But after we had some drama and had a meeting with the RA, i said "bump it, i'm payin for this room too. Ain't nobody runnin me out of my space". So i started to get a lil more verbal with her 2nd semester, and things were a lil better. Love the girl, it was an experience, but i'm not tryna do it again. Next year, I WILL have a single (PRAISE GOD!), and i plan to keep it that way.
SUGGESTIONS: Lay down your rules in the beginning. State everything u like/don't like and everything u can and cannot tolerate. Don't comply with things just to avoid confrontation. If you're not happy with sumthin, speak ya mind, cuz if u hold it in, it'll just build up and you'll go off one day. Learn how to compromise, but still be comfortable in your own space. Hey, you're payin for it...so u might as well be.

*LAWD* Honey I aint gonna lie to ya, you don't want me to be the one to give you the horror stories. You will be up in the Apartment Guide with the quickness! LOL! But I say if you really can--> get your own crib. It will probably save you some money and definitely some aggravasion. I am about to be a senior and I wish I had invested in my own crib sooner All I know is when I go to grad school I will NOT be stayin on nobody's campus! :twisted: 8)

**** i figured out who u r just by reading what u wrote. lol i didnt know that it was that bad 4 u kenya. dammn. but at least u have a single now.
Roomate #1:
She seemed a lil weird to me the first day i saw her after she missed the first 2 weeks of school.......she had a "panic attack" durring Isabel when the lights went out...hid alcohol in our room that i almost got in trouble for......tried to fight one of my former friends (for what....dont know-tha chik crazy).....DIDNT WEAR SHOWER SHOES!! :x YUCKK....JH's bathrooms were atrocious (and she was black ).....and here is the one that made me say "If you wont move out, I WILL, cuz i cant live wit u no more"-SHE CHANGED HER PAD IN THE ROOM....she said she was too "sick" to go to the bathroom right around the corner :evil: ......and put the pad in a plastic bag and left in the floor.....i came back like 6hrs later with my room smellin like shyyytt (she had also thrown up in a trashcan, and had not showered) YUCKK! :? :x :evil:
Roomate #2:
She was "greek"-that was my first wrong move right there. She showered when she felt it was necessary (about once a week-if that much)....left containers of old food on her side of the room and in the fridge....damn near **** me with her stinch-too damn nosey-all in my phone convos n shyt-DAMN CAN A NEGROE LIVE?? :? she was jus the average nasty annoying white person....YUCK! :x
Now one of my good friends is my roomie for next year so no more traumatizing events for me! :wink: I have had no luck with the "roomate" thing.....so i have learned dont room with somebody u dont know and aint cool wit.
