I'm thinking of changing my major from Business Management to Political Science with a possible minor in sociology. Ya'll have helped me to discover a passion
Seriously though, Business was just something I said as I knew I would have to eventually learn how to manage a business once I took over my dad's club, but the more I thought about it, I realized that a business degree does not necessarily equate you with running your own business and politics was what I had been leaning to for a while, especially considering that I knew that I wanted to go to law school. And Hampton's tradition of putting so many African Americans into Law School, it all just seemed to fit.
Anyways, for all the upper classmen, how many times did you change your major is you ever have and if so why?
and for the freshmen, what is your major and why did you choose it?
Mr. Slim
I am freshman in college; I am double majoring in Religion and Psychology. I love however politics, so I am still wrestling with my second major. I may pull a double minor or something rather then a double major. Well, I came to the decision that I want to major in Religion, because I love to study all religion and how they came into existence. Psychology is just a passion of mine I took it in High School and found it to be irresistible not to further study. I plan to go to Either Howard Divinity, Payne Theological, or Shaw Divinity after the completion of my Bachelor(s) Degree. I then want to pursue a PhD in Religion and Teach at the College Level and Graduate level also. Afterward I want to pursue a Masters in Psychology. (That’s if I don’t do it before I go for my PhD)
My major is Journalism and Mass Communications with a concentration in Speech Language Pathology/Audiology. It is not difficult, but alot of work. My mind has changed so many times because I don't science or math. Hopefully my mind won't change.
AS OF RIGHT NOW I AM A POLY SCIENCE, HOWEVER I THINK I WILL CHANGE THAT TO MY MINOR AND MAJOR IN ENGLISH. POLY SCI IS KICKIN MY A$$ MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH YEAH I WANT TO GO TO LAW SCHOOL, I AM APPLYING TO: COLUMBIA, CASE, UVA, CORNELL, AND HOWARD
i am a bio major also...i am a so. but i think i might want to change to psychology..it is so interesting but i dont want to be in school forever because i changed my major...i dont know what i am going to do.
Well I changed my major today. It was a drastic change too. I changed my major from Mathematics to Mthematics Eduction. . My parents won't like this one .
*Calls Mother*
Well she didn't like it but I told her it was all about me. MAybe I could make $700,000 a year being a teacher. No just $30,000 at best. Well gotta go  .
I am a political science major minoring in pre-law. FAMU is the #2 school in the nation for putting African-Americans into law school. As of right now, the law school I am looking at is Georgetown's law school. But I am striving to hopefully graduate from FAM with at least a 3.5 so then they will pay for me to go to law school. Most prestigious law and medical schools are usually about 50 G's a year....and thats alot of muthaf*ckin money :!: :!: :!:
I haven't changed my major yet, but i'm seriuously taking it into consideration. I'm not quite sure if Electrical Engineering is for me anymore. A&T should help me figure that out pretty quickly though.
