I'ma have to go with Celine on this one. There was a time when Mariah could hit all them high notes, but all the smoking she has done over the years has DEFINITELY caught up with her voice. And I would know first hand. Two years ago I was at 106&Park for the taping of their Christmas special. You know the song ONE SWEET DAY, it features Boys 2 Men. Well there is that high part where Wanya and Mariah sing together, and she was unable to hit the note, so they had to stop the cameras from rolling and Wanya took her to the corner and was trying to help her hit that note, but she was uable too so they ended up bring that note a few octives lower. But like I said, from hearing Mariah in person, she isnt the high octave singer she used to be.

Mariah......I use to hear Celine Dione before she became famous in the U.S. all the time as a child, and she is a good singer, but Mariah has more soul to her voice and her tonality is better. Celine Dion sounds like a country music singer, and there's nothing wrong with that but I've heard Mariah sing the hell out of a song, especially gospel, and Celine just sounds like she screams a lot, not too much vibrato there, as someone did mention.

Well usually when you hit octaves like she does a person has to prepare their voice. It's not easy to just hit them just like that. She can still do it cuz I saw her in concert recently and she tore up a song and hit those octaves too. Maybe she just wasn't prepared that day- It happens. But she's the ****. She can sing any type of music and still sound good cuz her voice is versatile. Well i know that when she divorced her husband who was like way older than her, and use to treat her like a child, she started wildin out, and she drank and smoked a lot at one time in her life.
