I would say Tuskegee, FAMU, Howard, Hampton, TN State, Morgan State, Praire View, and the AUC Dual Degree Program. I honestly think that you can't go wrong with any of these schools. I would encourage you to do your research on each school and then decide which is best for you. I could easily say that I think Tuskegee has the best program, but Tuskegee may not be the best place for you. We all can give you are opinions, but you have to live with the decision. Good luck.

I agree that Skegee has an awesome engineering program. Their engineering program rated among the others as a good program. They offer electrical, mechanical, and aerospace...etc. but I dont know all of the programs offered in that specific major.....check some of the course catalogs and also find out by getting in touch with someone that majors in your area of interest. " I love my TU!!!!!!"

If you are interested in engineering, trust me, Southern U. A&M @ Baton Rouge, LA is the place to go. They have great programs, scholarships, and internships available for incoming students. I'm entering a Science(variety of science & engineering fields) program this summer that offers a pret-ty good stipend. If you are interested, email me at cherieco03@netscape.net and I would be more than happy to tell you more. HOLLA :!: :!:

Tuskegee also has a summer program designed for incoming freshman. The program is called FASTREC. The program allows you to get a jump start on your college career. The students take college math, engineering graphics and freshman orientation. At the end of the summer, the top students of the program are awarded scholarships and internships from different companies. I had friends who had partial tuition scholarships and the companies picked up the remainder of their costs.

Eventhough I go to the real HU Hampton University, I would have to say Tuskegee has one of the most looked at Engineering Programs in the nation. I have an internship with the Aerospace Corporation and all I see is offers to engineering students from Tuskegee University. And these offers are **** for a summer undergraduate job. $615 weekly, housing, and travel while your in El Segundo, CA which is in Los Angeles Metro. Besides another student from Prarie View about 20 Tuskegee students, and me and another Student from Hampton we are the only HBCU's representing against UCLA, Pepperdine, MIT, CIT, Purdue, Harvard, UC Berkley, USC, and a whole lot of other schools

All jokes aside...if u want enginneering then A&T is for you. We have a challeging program that has rendered MANY strong black engineers. We have MANY realms of that field and you can see for yourself steppin one foot on campus that is where our school began, with great black engineers. Check the site www.ncat.edu and check it out. U'll be surprised to find what you can become with an education from ~!AGGIE LAND!~

It all depends on what type of engineering. AUC Dual Enginering program is pretty good. Georgia Institute of Technology(Ga Tech) is the #1 producer of African-American/Black Bachelor graduates in the nation. Research the schools and make your decision.
