When finding a mate, do you seek out/ "prefer" a particular Greek or just a Greek period?
Case 1: I met this dude who happens to be a member of DEF, he says he only dates AKAs and he is adamant about that. It's no secret I'm an AKA, so let me make it known that I think this is just silly.
Case 2: I know a chic who is non-Greek and she actively seeks out men who are Greek. They just HAVE to have letters! In fact, as far as I know, all of her boyfriends have been members of BGL frats :roll: . Her current dude is a Kappa.
Case 3: I also know of a chic(Greek) who has openly stated that she is GOING to marry her a Kappa. :?
I am dating a Greek right now but I do not actively seek out Greek males, no way. In fact, I'd prefer a man who wasn't Greek! <----long story but anyways. Granted, a lot of us Greeks are around one or the other a lot so we are going to meet plenty of one another, especially those of us at HBCUs, couples are liable to form. But I know I aint the only one who knows folks who are obsessed with being with someone just because they're Greek. Frat men, we all know yall's lives probably changed when you got your letters. I'm sure the girls (yes GIRLS) who wouldn't give you any play before the letters are on ya sack now :lol: Does anyone else know of similar scenarios?

Like me for me, not for letters. thats why i dont even tell ppl im part of a sorority unless im in a good mood. Letters dont make me. If imma pull em, imma pull em with my looks and persona
I'm dating this Sigma right now :? ... but we started dating before he was a Sigma. I don't care if he's greek or not as long as he treats me with respect and cares about me.
I went to highschool with this girl she was very quiet and didn't really talk to that many guys.... but I was at the Sigma house with my boo O ... and the same girl was there that I went to highschool trying to sleep with the boy that had just crossed :cry: ... I had heard that all the frats had messed with her. She's a greek groupie :lol: . Thats what we call the girls that try to get with every frat. Man she used to be quiet ... But hey freaks come out at night.
Since the title to your thread is "Dating question for Greeks and all others" I'm going to answer this from an Eastern Star approach.
Being a Star does in fact mean that I meet/mingle with a lot of Masons. Being a Daughter of **** does mean I meet/mingle with a lot of Shriners and so on and so on. That doesn't mean I'm going to only seek out Masons/Shriners as mates just because I'm their counterpart. To each his own but I think it's silly to only date a particular someone based on their affiliations with an organization.
These people need to turn the "stereo"typical things off and stop limiting themselves. Who'd want someone soo superficial, as someone already said.
Yeah, i'm the same way. The only greek person i've dated was a Sigma, and that was before i was even a prospect for Zeta (just ended up bein a coincidence). Don't get me wrong, i have love for greek gentlemen and lawd knows some of em are too fine for words =P~ , but i just find that it brings alot of drama sometimes. ESPECIALLY, if it's a greek from your school. People talk way too much and u gotta worry about your bizniz gettin spread around or oversteppin bounderies if u break up with one, and then another greek is feelin u. Just way too much drama. I have a life outside of Zeta, so when it comes to romance, sometimes i prefer to seperate the two.
But hey, if i click with someone, greek or not... i wouldn't turn him away. I believe in equal opportunty :wink:
I coulda swore I put my QUE-cents in on this topic awhile back but seeing as how my beautiful pic isnt on this thread, here it goes...
Personally, I would prefer a women who is Greek. Call it what you want but there are certain things that a woman who shares my world will understand that the uninitiated cannot. I love being Greek and I love the Greek lifestyle and I want someone that I can share that with.
I've been with women on both sides of the spectrum and it can be a headache either way. But I'm just drawn to Greek women. That's what I like. However, I'm not gonna deny a woman, who is uninitiated, the pleasure of being with me, but I like what I like...whether it be AKA, DST, ZPhiB, or SGRho, I love them all.
AKAs and Deltas been breaking my heart lately but it's all to the good. I still love ya tho...

I never really had the opportunity to date a Greeak man. I do not discriminate though, just as long as he treats me right, we have no problems. I was in a relationship while I was online for Delta. And two weeks after our probate show, we broke up, bcuz he got mad that he talk to me like he use to. He was my main supporter then turned into my enemy, but ****happens.
