I have a question for all u collegians.. I am a senior and I'm going to attend a black college next year. I want to be either a majorette(dancer) with the marching band or play the snare drums in the marching band.. So I need to know what HBCU band is the tightest and hypest of all time.. I hate to rep a weak band 4 real.. Let me know the deal!!

I was thinking about going to NC A&T and I want to be a dancer.
This year, the majorettes ditched the batons and for a couple of shows, they lit two ends of the baton on fire. For another show, they used a pair a machetes that locked together.
I would say look into HU, but you wanna join a band that is currently on top. Right now FAMU is with out a doubt on top. I turned down admission and a band scholarship to FAMU for a simple reason; i didnt wanna be just a number in their band perpetuating a set reputation. If you wanna join a good band where you'll feel a family bond with the members and create a reputation for that band, join one of the "sleepers" in the MEAC like NC A&T, Norfolk, Bethune, or Howard.
NC A&T - One of the hypest bands that I have seen.
Norfolk - Hype as well.
Bethune - I havent seen them but from what i hear Sudden Impace (the name of the percussion section/"drumline") is no joke.
Howard - Currently rebuilding the program, but is good none the less. Oh yea, and we're extremely hype :twisted:
