I was watching BET Nightly News and A black woman was like 'Im voting democrat because that is what 'we' [black people] do..........
I'm saying to myself, does she even know any of the issues that are going on??
So this leads me to my question...........
Do Black People Vote Democrat just because it is 'the thing to do'?.....
my mom says she's voting for kerry this year and she voted for gore 4 years ago but she's a republican she just doesnt like bush. im registered as an independant and dont know how im gonna be votin yet.
I feel as if Im slowly (extremely slowly) turning into a republican... Maybe by the time Im fifty...
CORRECTION: Hell maybe by tha time Im 30... A lot of people I know are lazy as hell and want everything to handed to them by the government... Tha ish is annoying

Newsflash: Conservative or Republican ideology does NOT fall in line with the agenda that the Bush administration promotes.
Republican mantras: Small government, states rights, ****, individual responsibility, fiscal responsibility, tax cutting, strong defense, and keeping out of individuals lives
Bush mantras: Huge Government, Lots of social programs, reckless spending, strong OFFENSE, intruding in others lives (Patriot Act), he's woefully quiet on ****
....that being said, what do you think that Bush has done that has been positive in his 4 years in office........especially given the circumstances he was brought in under [9-11, 'bootleg' electon]..........

Yea I try to be optimistic, but I see firsthand everyday how black folks (please some people in my family) exploit programs given to them by the government just so they won't have to do sh*t....

yes i think so .. some blacks have simple answers why.. like the replublicans are for the rich and democrats are for the "poor" and blah blah.. but normally blacks dont even pay any attention the details of a pres as long as they are democrat

.....Yea, dont get me wrong, white people take advantage of the gov't too---but we as African Americans should set the bar of class. Black people should show white people[gov't] that we can do for ourselves and we dont need them....but at the same time without becoming a self-contained nation.....I liked in 60's [like I was there :roll: ]when there were a surplus of black shops and businesses....now it seem sthat the black people on give money to the other peoples businesses.....The only strong black business left is the black barbershop....but dont get me started preaching.....

thats no reason not to vote becuase would you rather want bad or worse
sure but the issue is that he probably wouldnt be nominated by his own party if he had opposiing views
thats the issues blacks need to to be there in the primaries they need to be there to elect the right canidate for the democrat party but we arent shown
