i had this aurgument with a white friend of mine...
do black people just plain out hate america?
my white friend wa telling me that every political aurgument he gets in with a black peson (besides me of course), they seem every unpatriotic, and demonize america. i tried to point out the fact that a large percentage of blacks have served in the armed forces and in all of our wars...but he slaps me with "oh, they only joined because of thier economic situation, not because they felt it was thier patriotic duty..." he aurgued that blacks are quick to point out what's wrong with america and it's faults, and never seem to want to concentrate on what's right and the much good we have done around the world...
then i thought about it...

does this cat actually have a point?

there are many non-black people who do not love america. they may even go as far as to say that they hate it. what about them? i agree with what everyone has said here. i just think that everytime a black person says something negative about america it shouldn't automatically become because of their race. African-Americans are just that...AMERICANS. if we don't like something about the way something is being handled in our country and we wanna speak up about it, we should be able to without immediately bein accused of playing the race card.
great point!! I have often wondered this myself. Black AMERICANS have just as much right as white Americans to voice their opinions on this country. Sometimes it's not about race, it's about right or wrong. I think it's a cop out for white America to say, "oh there he goes, playing the race card."

Whites have stolen everything: Our Ancestors, The credit for building America, The Wealth, Social Justice, OUR BLACK LEADERS: Malcolm X, MLK, Marcus Garvey, etc.
If you took the time to come down off of your "high and mighty- White male" ego, you would notice that whites and thier enslavement/ treatment of African Americans is a major part of my people's problem. The history your people created has lead us to this cross road. Now that you have taken our blood, sweat and tears to build the richest nation in the world, you want to turn you back on us and act like we are savages.
The white culture has to fess up for their past....the U.S. did it to Japan for dropping the A-****; The Jews will never let you forget the Holucaust- so it is time for WHITE AMERICA to make amends.
Even though we are in a state of emergency as a race; black people are the mose creative, and copied race on this planet: We are SCHOLARS,We are trens setter,and still find time to dominate every sport in the world. I myself am not very patriotic. I mean its like what most of the people are doing in this post, America has just done too much to my people, and are continuing to do to my people, that I just can't forget. And it ain't even my people, it is just people in general. What America does to people who don't even live over here, thats just wrong.....sometimes I am just ashamed to consider myself American. I'm not American so I'll watch what I say.
I surely dont love America but I dont hate it either. I'm not Anti-American although ANti-Americanism is on the rise in my country. If there is anything I do hate its the countrys foreign policy and the way the government feels that it can enter any soveriegn country it wants and make any changes it wants. I wouldnt go so far as to say that its tha best place to live, I believe that would be Norway.
I also dont belive that Americans have as many personal freedoms as they think. For starters, you dont have free health care, and in America, the poor get nothing and the rich get everything. Too many Americans are in fear of being shot or **** by terrorist. And a life in fear is no life at all. ANother thing is how race is such a big thing in the U.S. On every American application they always ask for race and have like three boxes, as if everyone could be so easily classified. I dunno its not the country I hate its the government and some of its people. Then again Ive never lived in the U.S. so I cant give a fully precise opinion I can only go by what I see and what I know.
