Ok ladies i know we all the spots at home that we got our hair, nails, waxing, and ect at.....so my question is when yall went to college how did u manage being away from your surroundings. And did u find new places
As far as hair...I had my friend do for me every once in awhile, and I would just keep up my hair until I would go home and get micros or sumthin...
Nails...since I didnt have a job anymore, I didnt get them done in school...and it sucked cause I was having withdrawals cause I regularly got my nails done every 2 weeks when I was home...
Eyebrows...like my nails, I was use to getting them waxed everytime..but I didnt have a job so I would do my eyebrows myself. I have known how to do my eyebrows since I was 13, but I liked getting them done...but since I didnt have money for it ever 2 weeks I went back to doing them myself...
we'll for me the only thing i worry about getting done is my hair...
its always easy to find someone to braid....so that is covered...
but when it comes to the relaxer i'm still tryna find someone to do that...this lady was doing it and fukked up my hair big time, so now i gotta search for someone else...
Dang people dont know how to put in their own relaxers? :?

When I had hair, I did it myself so that wasnt a problem. When I decided to cut it all off and had to leave my barber at home.......well that was just a mess cuz nobody could do it the way he could (plus everybody wanted to CHARGE me, what's up with that) so I kinda um havent really adjusted. I would just wait the few months out then let him do it when I got home. The few times I did let somebody else do it, I just wasnt happy, like now... :x :arrow:
TO FIND SOMEONE TO DO MY HAIR FOR ME WHILE I AM AT SKEGEE. MOST OF THE TIME I WILL HAVE IT BRAIDED BECAUSE I WILL NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO GET IT DONE EVERY TWO WEEKS LIKE I DO NOW. AS FAR AS MY TOES AND NAILS I GET THEM DONE FREE HERE BECAUSE MY BEST FRIEND DO THEM. I WILL HAVE SOMEONE AT ASU TO HOOK ME UP WITH THE TOES, HAIR, AND NAILS WHENEVER I CAN GET A WAY DOWN THERE.
When I was in TX with da fam my mom always relaxed my hair and one of my twin sisters usually did my hair. When I moved to GA to attend school at the Art Institute of Atlanta. I didn't know what to do. To get your hair done in ATL is so expensive. I eventually learned to do my own relaxers though. Now that I am about to attend Albany State University hopefully I will be able to find some to hook me up with some micros. (I dont like trying to figure out hairstyles for my hair) If someone who attends Albany State knows how to do micros please let me know I'll pay you!
Well I bought as a big **** bucket of perm cause I perm my own hair. I really don't go to the beauty shop unless it's for a very speical occasion. I'm gonna get a pedicure and French tip the next time I get my feet done cause usally, if well taken care of, French tips can last about a month.
well I just got everything done when I went home ex. hair, toes, eyebrows, etc. I used to go home about every 2 months. I can go awhile without getting all of that stuff done cuz it really doesn't phase me that much.

Right now, i'm learning how to do all of that myself since i'm not going to be at home as much as I used to my freshman year.

Oh Gawd! Lemme just say I looooooove coming home just so I can get my nails done for a reasonable price! I'm sorry but I aint used to paying no damn $15 for a fill-in! Or $25 for a full set! At home, I can get a full set, a pedicure, and STILL have $ left over to eat with $20! Here in Cali it's only $10 for a full set ($7 for a fill in) airbrush/charms are FREE. Pedicure is only $8 compared to $23 down south!
WELL I SEE I NEE TO MOVE TO CALI CAUSE THE SOUTH (FOR SCHOOL) AND MIDWEST (WHEN I GO HOME) IS ROBBING THE HELL OUT OF MY COLLEGE POCKETS...
