hey i'll be at CAU in the fall. originally people told me the campus is horrible. no its not. it is actually pretty nice. the buildings look a lil old on the outside but the insides are very new. They are also working on a building that'll be done this fall that looks very nice. at orientation it was soooo crunk! the OGz (orientation guides) were very nice. All of the upperclassmen and faculty i've met are so welcoming and they act as if they truly want you to be there, adjust well, and volunteer to be ya life long friends. As with the other HBCUs i thought about attending, they treat u like fam. My mom best described it as being at a family reunion where u don't know anybody but all of yall still love eachother. and no cau does not sit n tha hood. it is not that bad. maybe it juss depends on where u r coming from. the campus sits in an urban environment. only disadvantage that i saw was the fact that it's an open campus. for guys thats coo but for females u feel a lil unsafe at times but u juss gotta be on top of ya game and u should b fine. anymore questions then holla at MissCAU07 she adpoted me as her lil sis and she has been soooo helpful!

I feel like this....mostly all the hbcu schools are in low income areas...(we had a topic a long time ago about y all the hbcus are near the projects) So I mean its w/e. It aint bad tho, I mean if you scared of sum thugs, then hey maybe it aint the spot for u. I'd say the only bad part about CAU to me is....the dorms...but what do u expect...UR NOT AT HOME! Man I chose CAU before even goin to visit...and when I went to orientation IT WAS MAD FUN! Yeah and Jaz u right...who do u kno that can get the whole auditorium jumpin off ring tones? Also CAU has a lot of opportunity, HELPS u with anything u need....and doesn't leave u hangin. THE UPPER CLASSMEN ARE HELPFUL AND DON'T LOOK DOWN ON U BECAUSE UR A FRESHMAN, THEY WANT TO HELP!!! Also CAU I realized is into COMMUNITY SERVICE so that's a plus too, they want to help the community!!

Naw it is one thing to be in low income area's, but when your school is ACTUALLY IN THE GHETTO, that is a whole different thing

im also attending CAU in the fall. i love my school and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. of course some of the people act stank, but thats anywhere u go. the peeps in atl r just hilarious in general tho. u cannot walk outside from where u stay and not c somethin funny. but CAU is a great college. u do wanna look @ what u want to major in and where u want to live b4 u make the decision tho. there r other schools that may interest you more depending on those factors. just do your research and you'll find out that cau is the best choice!!

And there u have it...Clark is a good school, if u can get over the whole living area, u will like the school overall

I visited it but 2 yall whatz wrong wit the location :?:
I want an answer to that myself because wherever you go you'll find something "Ghetto" whether its the students, environment etc.......Remember its how you want to perceive your education
yeah, but I don't wanna be dodging bullets every night....j/k...I just didn't like the appearance of the school. It's not even the location.

Well when i went down there...on CLARK CAMPUS I didn't feel like i was in the hood. Like i said if u scurred of sum thugs then maybe that's not the place for u. Plus I felt safe i saw the security riding around more then just a couple times. As far as CAU closing down sum programs...hey u gotta do ya search in find out wha they don't have n what they do. My major i dun have to worry about because CAU has one of the best MASS MEDIA programs eva and ion think they'll eva let that go!!! oh yeah n another thing...if u neva experienced an environment that wasn't a "low income area" maybe u shud...u'd appreciate and learn more about wha u got all in the end!!
