My question is to the "NEOS" I know Trauma mentioned she was one but Im unsure about anyone else. Okay well its no secret that prospects get voted into a sorority.. My question to any "NEOS" is are u able to to vote for the next prospects or do u have to at least be "1" before u can vote?

Aren't you a neophyte until a line comes after you?

doesn't really sound like you know what a neo is. a neo is still an official member of that organization. they have say-so in any business that's happening. they have as much voting power as anyone else.
Um I do know what it is  .. I know that they are official members but I didnt know if they could vote new members in because they are new members themselves .. All u had to do was answer my question and leave out the I dont know what it is part cuz I know what I asked
Umm.. whoa there... a lil aggression being subdued perhaps?

Well since Neos have all the rights and privileges as the other members of a greek org, is there a reason why they need to be referred to as Neos, or is it simply nothing more than a name for those who have been in the organization for less than a year?

Nothing more than a name and its used for other things as well. Neos or Neophytes sometimes cant hold office positions such as basileus, anit-basileus, secretary, etc

If anything, Neos will be the ones that can make things happen! When voting time comes around, more than likely your line would be the deepest out of the frat at the time, so you all should have the opportunity to vote yourselves in office or keep most of it the same. Thats how our line was. As far as voting for new initiates, i feel the same would apply. But always remember your not voting for something because you have the ability & power...u wanna look out for whats in the best interest of the chapter.

For the record...you can be in the bond for years & years and STILL be considered as a "Neo". that is a term that is basically given to someone for up to a year after they cross, or before they bring over another line.

EXACTLY.....our line coming in was basically the "swing" votes. We were the deepest and we made things happen once it was time to vote for officers. I think it was better that way because we had no bias to any of the people running.
