I wrote this because im tired of my beautufil black women giving up
My sister don't give up because you are pregnant
Don't give in cuz he left you
Don't quit because he took your virginity and left you the next day
Don't get down because society says we're not cut out for the career field
If anything have some faith and push on
Prove to yourself that you can be somebody inspite of what anyone else says
Don't turn cold because he cheated on you
Don't turn cold because he told you lies
Don't turn cold because he doesn't want you anymore because he's bored
If anything take it as a stepping stone and walk on with yourself and God
Cuz he will replace that vessel with one that appreciates everything about you
Why my sister you say should you listen to the words I say?
Because I have seen all those things I just wrote
But with God's help you'll get stronger
So my black sistas stay strong!
Awww...that just gives me more hope that I will find the love I am seeking with the guy of my dreams. It is just letting me know to keep on pushin on regardless of whatever the obstacle. I can relate to so muc that was in that poem. That was just sooo sweet. I think Ima print that off and read it every now and then as a reminder.

Dance like no one's watching, Live like today's your last, and love like you've never been hurt. Life is too short and we're much too precious to miss our on something so wonderful as the gift of love. And i'm not just talkin about the love of a man. Learn about a higher love that will never leave u, then obtain a self love that will never diminish regardless of your circumstance. Only then will u be truly fulfilled.

You must look at whatever positive in your life and use that to get through the tuff times. If you can't think of nothing think of this. you are at a HBCU!!!!! not to many people are recieving that experience. your fortunate and your in the position to make things happen.
