This is how it goes
the situation: my first year at my HBCU i hated it, so i decided to transfer....that didn't exactly work out to my advantage, so i decided to enroll back at my former school.....
problem: how the hell do i go back to a school, which i hated and laughed at, as i left...
i mean, im a 20 year old young man with integrity, dignity, and self respect....how pathetic looking is it for me to crawl back to the place i loathed/despised now knowing that it was a dumb decision for me to even leave???? (im also still gonna be considered a sophomore for some reason  )
i mean, am i suppose to blend in like i never left?
the friend situation is kinda shaky 2, since i basically lost contact with most of the n!ggaz i chilled with
the whole thing just feels weird to me, and i could use some friendly advice, or at least some sort of empathy....
holla at me
p.s. im kinda giving this specific HBCU its right to anonymity .....should that matter tho
I understand that you kinda feel like an **** for talking so much ****about the old school in the first place, but at least you are mature enough to admit it was a mistake and go back to finish working towards a degree. Just take it as a lesson learned and keep on pressin. Don't worry how things "look" to other folks because you're not in school to please them, and it's not their life or their job to judge you. If someone wants to be a friend, they'll ask you (on the side) what's up and try to help you readjust, simple as that, if not, don't fool with em. Oh yeah, you may be classified as a sophomore because they may not have accepted all of the credits from your other school, but hey, don't trip on that either cuz sometimes it comes along with the program. Either way, keep ya head up and get that degree!
thank you for your comments.
I read it right before bed, thought about it, and rest assure, i had a bangin sleep, lol

I fortunately don't have the problem of not liking my school (Sh*t, i love it), but i know people that hate it. Whatever school you go to, there are going to be things that you hate - that's life period. The most you can do is make the best out of it. You tens of thousands of dollars to get a degree not be everybody's friend. That's cold but Sh*t, that's the truth. And the longer you stay at the school, the more pride you will have for the school because you've invested time and money in the institution. So, don't feel bad about having to go back cause believe me there are probably plenty of people that want to leave but can't go anywhere else either
That's a true statement.
I'd like to know why you hated it the first time. . . perhaps a third school is an option. What made you want to come back?
I feel that it is okay for you to move to the college that you transfered from. For whatever reason that was the choice that you made and it is your business to decide to come back. You should learn that people have nothing to do with the decisions that you make. As an adult we make difficult decisions but sometimes you have to do that. Regardless of you not liking your school, it is what you are there for that you should be concerned with. Your education is the whole reason just think of it as a learning experience and you can always meet new people. As far as you still being a sophmore that is ok too. I have to go a extra semester than what was expected because I changed my major but that is the least of my worries what is on my mind is to strive to excel even farther. As long as I am in a major that I know I will enjoy it does not matter if I have to go a little longer because at the end it is worth the wait. I really do not care what people think anyway because I am trying to make something out of myself and with Gods help I will.

true, very sincere post.....thank u, and i will definitely be using ur advice
You should not feel bad or regret your decision. That is a part of growing up and maturing. At the time, you felt u needed to leave, but later returned. Because you are returning to your former school, you will be more appreciative of the school or you will just look at it differently. We all make mistakes but we learn from them. Don't let your past hold you back from enjoying the school your 2nd time around, it might be better this time
Dang'onit... I wanna know what school he's talking about now... :?
I was thinkin about my school...Morehouse...
but we don't have curfew...
So I think it is Hampton now....he put it out there to much in his description....
This is how it goes

I can feel u......Morehouse is not what I expected...my first year sucked....I was thining about leaving....but I'm going back...hoping that some things at Morehouse will change for me...
I really know only one HBCU that has a curfew freshman year, so i am leaning toward Hampton. Coincidentally that is where i will be going this upcoming fall semester. Although i will be a freshman if u need anything just holla at me.
Also we all make mistakes, but u have learned from your mistakes. That is wisdom and u should be very proud of yourself for trying to get a degree. instead of being a statistic.
