Ok, we all know that in divorce, many times the woman keeps her ex-husband's last name. I wanted to get a census on how everyone feels about this. Would you want your ex-wife keeping your family name even though you aren't together anymore???personally I wouldn't want some girl walking around sharing my
name like that if we weren't together. It sounds like there could
be some type of security risk with that. Like she could access

My name is going to be hypened when I get married so that my family's last name doesn't die with me and my siblings. He can have the damn name back if he wants it so bad he has to take me to court...but he's sure as hell gonna pay for all the paper work.

i've never heard of that, but like i said, if a girl really wants to hold onto it whats to stop her from just changing it back

Me too...Its when Robert wanted Tia, his fiancee, to take his last name...and she basically didnt want too because the ex wife Niecy was holding onto it for the sake of their child.

I don't know what I'm gonna do.,... I can't hyphenate cuz my last name is 10 letters, sothat will be ruff on my kids.. I wouldn't keep the last name (it wouldn't seem right.. God forbid any divorce in my life) and I wouldn't wan't to keep my last name by itself (I like the way MRS. so and so sounds..).. oh well.. I'll cross that brig\dge when I come to it.

thats kind of like a smack in the face for the husband (unless your a super-star celebrity that has a REASON to hyphenate 2 last names due 2 business.) :cry:
