If u heard Kerry's speech he said yes there would be tax raises for the ppl making over 200k a yr. Everyone else gets cuts. Thats 85 to 90 percent getting tax relief.

The republicans on this board seem to avoid the obvious issue of the War in Iraq. Why are we at war, supposedly weapons of Mass Destruction right, well we never found them. Now the mission is about freeing the Iraqi people, and instiling democracy around the world. However, i don't know if u know about the **** in ****. Millions of africans are being **** by Muslims factions everday; where is America with its democracy!!!!! WE have failed to find any weapons of mass destruction, the 9/11 commission has found no link whatsoever, between Osama and Sudam. We went over there to protect ourselves, but now our military forces are stretched to thin to effectively protect us at home. We have a military of 200,000 yet 140,000 troops are in the middle east somewhere!!!!! How are we Safer.
Bush has failed to capture Osama Bin Laden, and destroy his ****group. More importantly there is an ememy who posses a greater threat to us than Osama or Sudam. That man is sitting in Korea with nuclear weapons aimed directly at our boarders. It seems to me the Bush Administration has done nothing about the Nuclear threat of Korea, or Pakistan for that matter. How are we safer.
**** and **** are imported into this country everyday. Over 95% of all cargo entering the united States is never inspected by U.S customs. So if **** and **** can get in without a raise of an eyebrow, what stops chemical, biological, and low yield nuclear weapons from crossing our boarders. How are we Safer!!!
The CIA, NSA, FBI, Homeland Secruity, and US Marshalls according to the 9/11 report still have problems communicating with one another. But yet we can spend 187 Billions dollars on a makeshift war that makes us weaker at home. If the government agencies responsible for protecting us can't even communicate, then how on God's green earth can we be safer!!
Issues of agency communication, boarder secruity, the Korean Nuclear threat, overstretch and undersupported military, Osama Bin Laden, are all taking a back seat to the War in iraq.
We are building hospitals, fire houses, police departments, and schools in iraq, but we closing them here in the states. How does that make sense. The school system in America is so badly underfunded it's ashame.

The weathiest among us may be making money, but the other 80 percent of America is struggling. Poverty levels have risen in this country. I watched Kerry last night (as most of America should have) and he really hit home with the big issues. Us being a self reliant country and creating jobs within the US, cutting down on businesses being able to hire out kids for 5cts an hour to do a 7 dollar an hour job. Middle class tax cuts (A HUGE step for the climbing minorities) and taxes on homes that make more than 200,000. Clinton is backing him too, and he has the support of alot of people that I Respect (even if i dont like them).
He said (paraphrase) "We shouldnt hope and ask for God to be on our side...we should do what we can to be on GODS side." THAT gave him a standing ovation because so many times we do what we want and just hope that our Faith will follow US when it is US who need to follow Faith.
The man fought patriotically for a war he didnt believe in and then was one of the first to speak out against it. He sat on that bench ALONE to ask "Where are our leaders in this time of war?" Im not riding his d*ck, but I encourage everyone who is voting (which should be all of you 18 year olds and above) to go to JohnKerry.com and find out about him. Hes open book, so you know what the hell youre voting for.
He did talk about the troops over there. Itd be stupid to pull all of them out since we already fought the damn war. It would seem wrong to leave them there without setting up a system that they can maintain on their own (though Colin Powell Just went over there to get them back on track economically). I dont see too many more wars happening while Kerry is in office, but if Bush gets voted back in, I can see us fighting a good two more wars (Libya? Im trying to think about this "Axis of Evil" thing...)
By the way, the economy took a blow to the knees because of 9/11, not because of the president in charge. The cause of 9/11 were the radical men who decided to **** the lives of innocent people that day. It was most likely our overconfidence that let them escape through the loophole of freedom to create ****. Though I dont like the president, dont be stupid - Bush didnt fly those planes into the towers. :arrow:
