Are Throwback Jerseys Played out?? Posted on 08-02-2004

I was at the mall yesterday and was contemplating on buying my first Mitchell & Ness jersey. I was looking around and the prices didn't seem as high as they did when they first busted on the scene. Are these jerseys starting to finally get played out??? Man, because I was going to grab this Steelers, Terry Bradshaw jersey, (you know,. had to rep my hometown)

Awww, I'm sorry, RTistic, lol.. It just doesn't attract me. I mean, it doesn't catch my eye. It's no problem if I see someone wearing one, but say he wears it on a date.. I would feel bad. I like for a guy's style to compliment mine, and I dress really girlie... like skirts and heels. It would just look funny.

LOL. I am not offended, I might wear one to class when somethin big happens such as when Kobe re-signed and when we lost the championship (just to say I ain't a bandwagon fan) but I don't wear em to clubs and would never wear it on a date, so I know what you mean. But you said it like if somebody in ya class had one on, you would look at him like he was dirty or whatever. At FAMU, people wear wifebeaters in class and to clubs and thats a whole lot tackier than jerseys.

Yall can wear wife beaters to class? Dang i wish Hampton would let me  I paid $256 for my Hakeem "The Dream" jersey so i will wear it when i feel like it esp. in GAME OVA , TEXAS. Eventually I will put it up and frame it.On the other hand I feel you get to a certain age where your too old to wear a jersey(ie. Allen Iverson ...he looks dumb as hell) back to NIA....

Jerseys are kewl once and a while....But whenever I go to buy a throwback, i end of changing my mind when I see the price. So I end up buying something like a button up, sean john jeans, and some J's or One's.....

I am a sports fanatic and I just copped two throwbacks...I love jerseys with a passion..I know that everyone is up on the "button up" game but..that don't fit me right now...it depends on the setting to...I mean if I am just going to class then a jersey is cool because I need to feel comfortable...The club is different... I can see me doing the button up there...
