hey
i'm considering pledging- i haven't applied 2 college yet, but 'spelman', 'clark-atlana', 'howard', and 'florida a/m' are the colleges i'm lookin' at. what are the soro's at these places? and what colours? i have family that are 'AKA's', 'DELTA's', and something else like 'phi beta' i dunno. and other folks that pledged 'morning star' or something. but AKA and DELTA, are the ones i'm more or less, checkin'.

Sweetie, I think you have the gist of what you need to do from the earlier responses, right? So lets review,
:!: 0. Start your research now by asking your family about their prominent sorority/fraternity, its always good to know the correct name of the organization.
:arrow: 1. Apply for college (the schools you've chosen are excellent choices), now after you're accepted and you've got some "credits under you belt", have fun your freshman year,
:idea: 2. RESEARCH, go to some of the Greek events, get to know the Greeks on campus! How do you know you want to become a member of a distinguished sorority if you don't know anything about any sororities? (these three things are crucial, so heed warning before you step to any Greek, you need to "take care of business". You need to take this seriously , because I feel that you'd be better off joining a club :evil 3. Don’t come back on this board asking, "Which sorority should I pledge?"
:? I understand that you are in high school (high school senior or graduate I'm assuming), and you don't have a clue about BGLO's, and reading all these responses are probably becoming very repetitious for you. But now you know what you need to get started on kiddo!

The Order of the EASTERN Star is NOT a sorority. Lets get accepted and grab some credits. THEN... do some research and get INFORMED!! Geez :roll:

You know what mama....it's all good. Cuz I'm still in HS/Jr. College, and i dunno wtf "taking a line" means lol (so, shoot me all of you University attendees)
anyways, what I'm sayin is....dun feel too bad that they doggin you, and look up the sites for the orgs in the "divine nine" and you can get a feel of the sorrorities (and fraternities) and see what they're about
I would not let you into MY[/i] organization at all with that kind of post. I wouldn't even look at you twice and take pity on you. That is just too much!! Honey, I suggest you go back to freshman English and get it together because that is unacceptable.

you can't blame homegirl for wat other newbies have did on this site...i understand that yall are frustrated with these kinda posts but she is her own individual person, not everybody else...u may decide to jus tell her to do her research or not answer at all, but dont b rude about it....for members of organizations who pride themselves in yrs of HELPING black men and Women...u kno the rest....

The revolution will not be televised...on the Disney Channel. So she has to learn the hard way. Eventually, it will sink in that some questions are just dumb. Until then, she will receive the proper treatment.
