I UNDERSTAND THAT WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN PERSONAL STYLES, BUT MY QUESTION IS; WHAT KIND OF CHANGES HAVE YOU MADE WITHIN YOUR CLOSET AFTER ARRIVING AT YOUR COLLEGE. OF COURSE WE SOMEWHAT DRESS ACCORDING TO LOCATION (i.e. NEW YORK, DC, ATLANTA...), BUT HAS YOUR WARDROBE REFLECTED A CHANGE IN LOCATION OR CHANGE IN MATURITY LEVELS. I KNOW NOW THAT IN MY AREA, TO BE DIFFERENT, I WONT WEAR HOODIES AND TIMS, BUT RATHER TAKE A MORE ADULT APPROACH AND SHOP ELSEWHERE IN PLACES LIKE STRUCTURE, EXPRESS, AE, AND PLACES LIKE THAT. THIS IN NO MEANS IS TO KNOCK ANYONES STYLE, BUT I WANT TO KNOW HOW YOUR STYLE HAS CHANGED.......
I agree with Smtg, It's all about the tee's because it stays warm is Atanta
longer than Pennsylvania that's all I have! but I like to layer my
stuff. or if I have a plain colored tee then I'll have match assessories, and
cartoon tees are cool. I have a hello kitty tee and I'm trying to get this
Cat in a Hat tee, lol. Besides that, sneakers and jeans. I really don't have
time to dress up, but when I do, I do get attention. Oh yeah now that
it just got cold in the A I can wear my sweaters, hoodies, and sweats
now. Old Navy is great for those items!
Laughs at the people who think Atlanta is cold
Try Chicago!!! You will be in for a shock
Snce leaving high school, I have allowed my inner prep 2 come out, gone are the baggy, sagging jeans and the rest of the "B-Boy" trends. You'll spot me in Express jeans, polo shirts, etc. Every now and then I'll rock some of the stuff from DEMO, especially RE-Verb, but thas just me.

Yeah, I'm thinking about becoming Casually preepy. I especially like the shirts with the Crocidilles on them.
My mom use to buy them for me when i was little. But I hated them in Highschool! Now I want them back.
I want to dress the way my mom use to dress me. I use to be classy!
Gone are big **** jeans, basketball shoes and name brand shirts...
Now I wear colored or white tee's that match with my shoes..
As far as shoes go, I like casual Nike's (dunkmans for instance in either all black or all white)...casual Adidas (the all black joints wit the white stripes that say Samoa on the side)...or some casual timbs...
I like my Budweiser racing jacket too, and not those NBA jackets...
Overall, I went from trying to be name branded out, to being casual, and I feel more comfortable this way...and in 04, it's all about airbrushing...
Im about to get like 15 white and assorted tee's and airbrush them, and get words stitched on them..(all I need is a company name)...
I realized I was paying 25-30 bucks for white tee's with the word "Sean John" on it, and like, 1000000 other people had the same shirt, but I could pay 10 bucks for a personal tee and it would be one of a kind (5 for the tee', 5 for services)...
yea..

  Laughs and rolls eyes at EJ: So are you trying to tell me that you walk around the AUC with NO COAT when it's 30 DEGREES outside? Be real! :| It's cold in Pennsylvania too, but I'm not gonna act like it can't get cold in Altanta. Cause we all know it does! And if I'm there and I'm cold guess what.... I'll be warm!

I believe my style has changed a bit since high school for the simple fact that in high school folks weren't too accepting of different styles. My style hasn't changed but now that I'm in college I feel comfy wearin sweats when I don't feel like getting dressed. I also don't feel so pressured in college to adhere to the trends, just something that looks decent will do...atleast for me. I even bought my first pair of AF1's since I've got to school.
Hotep,

Freshman through first semester senior year (high school): Skirts. I progressed from long to knee-length.
Second semester senior year: Dress pants/skirts. :?
First semester of college (A Lady of Jubilee): Fitted jeans, high heels, boots, dress pants, nice sweaters, long coats, 3-inch heels (at 8AM, sometimes...), makeup, dangly earrings...
I think I've changed for the better. I'm more fashion forward.
