Now I don't know if any of the greeks would answer this truthfully or not but a friend of mine and I were having a discussion about what sorority or fraternity to join...we couldn't come to an agreement but the bottom line is that if you were not mentored or are a legacy by whomever you decided to join...you basically jooin by whats up on the campus...i have a friend who is a greek who told me literally that he joined because there were what was up...now...any other opinions

I am about to be a junior, and this past year, I know a lot of people who crossed that were freshmen with me. Of them, they all had different reasons for pledging, but I know for sure that there were some who basically joined because that was the biggest thing on campus, and because it would increase their social status. It's obvious when you hear them diss other greek orgs before they make it into the one of their choice, like "who wants to be an ____?" and "i am too good to ever pledge _____" even though they may not even know their history. And especially when it comes to _____s, I know a lot of dudes who talked about pledgin and would talk about they wanted to join because they knew they would have a lot of females from joining.

If I wanted to pledge Zeta I would be a legacy too, but that's not my path. At first I wanted to to pledge _______ because they were the most popular thing on campus...but then I realized that the ________ wern't for me. Hehe..don't you just love the blank lines... I crack myself up...
Okay just to correct this Zeta does not have a legacy clause so just because your mom was a Zeta does not guarantee you a spot whether you want it or not. We honor the bond but do not accept ladies just because. And another thing you don't choose Zeta Zeta chooses you. Just my $19.20

I'm kinda the reverse... I chose my school based on what sorority I wanted to be in.... so.. yeah.. If it gets suspended, I'm not changing my decision and tryna go for another sorority... I am not a legacy, and I know 3 ________s that I just met last year... so I guess I'm your exception....
and I bet I could fill in that blank of yours  But good for you, more people should go with their heart rather than who's more popular or whatever...
DELTA, right?
