How does someone forget their line name or their Number??? This amazes me! I know that Greek doesn't run rampid in everyone's veins and after awhile some people can begin to lose track of general frat/sorority info, but how do you forget what your own bros/sorors used 2 kall YOU??

well.. since I am not greek.. an I am not 40.. I'm going to have to say: I don't know... I think that if I cross, I'mma get a tat... my friend has his number on his back and his line name on the back of his car.... I hope that IF I ever pledge.. I'll remember that ****4-ever.. I just assumed that if it meant enuff to you, you wouldn't forget.. but hey.. people are weird....
A tatoo? That is so **** in most sororities. Please reconsider that.
Is that so? I know lots of your sorors with little red elephants tatted on their ankles, I thought it was a collective thing but even some of the older ones had it. They weren't all huge an thuggish like some I've seen. I thought it was cute...

Trauma.........I heard that the Delta's have like a constitutional "Frown Upon" on tattoos and brandings..(Is this what you were referring to?).... I saw this on an article about how brandings are common.. yadda yadda... I think the Deltas and AKAs are the only ones that don't brand... I mean.. I'm sure some people might have gone back and gotten 'em.. but I found out that they don't really like it.... I've seen a couple of pyramids.. and violets... on shoulders ... and necks (@the back).. I saw this girl with ivy running around her ankle... It was kinda cute, but it reminded me of Poison Ivy from Batman... got kinda scared there... Seen a couple of Zetas w/ doves... or like wings on their shoulderblades.... I've also seen some people who get it done in Chines/Japanese..... I have seen Zeta brands.. and 1FineIota enlightened us a long time ago that a certain SGRho had a brand in her "nether regions"...... ^^^never gonna get a brand.. of anything.. Why? In the words of that NC cat Petey, "Cuz I ain't **** enuff ta do dat..."

I've seen them as well. But that doesn't mean that it is right. And they are cute, but definitely against protocol. My cousin, who is your soror, has an ivy on her ankle with her line number in the center. She said that she didn't know any better at the time, and she is sick of her older sorors "correcting" her. I also have a prophyte who has a really nice tatoo, but she is also constantly being hemmed up. Just because people do these things, doesn't make it okay to do it.

NOt a "Constitutional" frown upon. But definitely a protocol "frown upon." It is written....but anyway.... Several of my sorors have them, but it is still not cool.

^^^ You may or may not be able to answer this and that's understandable. I'm just curious. Why are greek related tattoos inappropriate for females, but branding is acceptable amongst males? I know religiously tattoos are shunned upon...so is there any connection with that. I've heard things like its inappropriate to get **** with your letters or sit on your letters...some even say tying jackets around the waist is inappropriate...all that I can understand...but I guess some think tattooing shows some type of permanent loyalty.

^^^so is it against protocol to have any tats or is it just against protocol to have tats bearing any symbols of your sorority? Like.. let's say you got a tat after you crossed (didn't have a damn thing to with your sorority).. is that against protocol? I could understand if it detracted from the "ladylike" persona, but umm... yea... thats all..

That's interesting. So what if you have them before you joined the organization? I guess they should be kept covered. Esp. when in paraphenalia.

Why would someone have a Greek tatoo before being Greek? Are you referring to tatoos in general? We are speaking on Greek tatoos.

^^^ Well actually no we aren't talking about greek tattoos in this instance. I was talking about tattoos in general...and Inferno was as well. At the top of this page Inferno asked what if you got a tattoo that had nothing to do with the sorority after you crossed? You stated that was against protocol. Then I asked my questions.
